The second single off of Gill Graff’s upcoming album The Outlier is PRAY FOR ME TO LOSE Featuring Red Pages. I find this track to be very dope! From his lyrics to tone and the production with extra vocals from a singer. Perfect mix for a song.
But lately, this track has been getting a buzz since the song is describing an artists point of view in politics in the hip-hop community. Gill Graff even references back to a couple of Local Hip-Hop Blog Sites. I feel those references weren’t a diss but it’s more like Hey! Pay Attention! I’m Here. Since I work with a lot of underground hip-hop artists I can understand the frustrations of not getting the support you expected. But with a bit more patience and hard work, it will show itself at the end. You’ll see.
I just feel like more of these websites should’ve featured records like ‘Dear Tomorrow’, which was undeniably a dope record. I had 3 other great artists on the record, they all killed it. The production was dope. The record was submitted and I just feel like they passed up on me because I was ‘the new guy’”. – Gill Graff
PRAY FOR ME TO LOSE was produced by Knowledge Medina. Besides this track he also produced the entire album collaboration with Gill Graff The Outlier. The album is set to release on September 11, 2012.
