The Hiatus of NikkiSiixx

As you can tell my site NikkiSiixx.com and youtube channel SiixxNikki has not had any recent updates since March 2018. I went through a hiatus. I no longer wanted to devote my time to working on my site and filming + editing videos. I’ve been blogging for over 10 years… for the love of it. But as time pass and I am no longer the 21 year old with the passion to feature unknown artist and discuss her favorite things. Throughout the years I just knew this is what I didn’t want to do forever.

Work; In October I make 2 years for the company I work for. The last 7 months I’ve been working non-stop to prove I can be more than just a collections agent. I have ideas and I can think outside the box. I needed to focus and maintain positive thinking. Thats when I started to fall back from blogging.

Love; I also fell in love, I like to call him, HIM. We we’re together for 10 months and he was everything to me. I devoted my time, energy, and love for. Things ended but I know my love for HIM is still there. And in a way I hope he’ll come back to me. Where I swear I would do whatever I can, to prove I can make this right.

My Youtube Channel; WBTV has binged blocked previous uploaded Flash Reactions and or obtaining any revenue with Ad Placement. This has really broken my will to make or finish the rest of the reactions I’ve already film. These videos have been up for over a year and one by one they’re removing it. Considering all the other you tubers that do the same type of video and their videos are still up. What’s the point?

Currently; I am a 30 year old woman, single, with no kids, and working my way up in a career in Asset Management. I just got the news on Friday, I got the promotion and I will be Team Lead starting Monday. More responsibilities and projects to get involved with and can’t wait to start my journey.

Today July 1st, I went to work on this post, updated WordPress plugins and then an error came up and I lost October 7, 2016 through July 1, 2018 posts. My heart breaks and I messed up for not backing up my hosting before the updates started. There’s really no way to get it back since there was never a back up. I didn’t realize it’s been this long since the last time I did it. I’ve lost about 140 posts, on new music, music videos, upcoming events, articles, and man. I feel like a piece of me just got chewed up and spat out.

What’s Coming Up; Im hoping to bring back my gaming videos. I’ve been playing Battlefront II a lot and these videos won’t get removed. Maybe review/recap videos for Flash Episodes (No Reactions). Also get back to blogging about Geek Pop Culture. The indie part of my site will forever stay available for anyone who wants to look back in the archive.

I would like to thank everyone who has inspired, promoted, shared, liked, comment, laughed, watched, with me throughout the years. When you show true support you’ll go farther than without any.

[ALBUM REVIEW] 6 Cardinal – Flourish

Making his return on NikkiSiixx.com we have South Florida artist, 6 Cardinal. This time he brings us his latest album entitled FLOURISH. 6 Cardinal is not your ordinary artist, he also makes original beats and writes his own lyrics. During the creation of FLOURISH 6 Cardinal flew from South Florida to Brooklyn for a few days with hopes to capture New York City’s ambience and his creative chemistry with Ace in one collection of songs created from scratch. And after the first listen of FLOURISH you can definitely feel 6’s inspiration.

FLOURISH represents 6 Cardinal’s journey back to his musical roots. On the production side, FLOURISH forgoes the electronic-influenced production heard in his recent output in favor of the soulful and sample-heavy brand of production marking his earlier projects, which is provided by 6’s longtime friend, collaborator, and Brooklyn-based boom-bap maestro Ace Fayce.

For my review, I’ll be breaking down my favorite tracks. FLOURISH has a total of eight tracks. The ones that really stood out to me are The Name pt. IV, Ring The Alarm, Nine2Five, Royals, LuvJawn, and Outro. So let’s get this review underway.

6 cardinal 6[THE NAME PT. IV] Starting it out with straight BARS! 6 Cardinal keeps he’s lyrical content fresh! 6 stays on beat and really emphasizes old school hip-hop with his choice in production. Even though the track is only 2:32, it leaves the listener wanting more.

[RING THE ALARM] Word is bond! 6 Cardinal paints a vivid picture with his lyrics, line after line. You gotta nod your head to this one. One line that caught my attention was “Sicker than the flu, Ah-chu! You infected now“.

[NINE2FIVE] This is one of my favorite tracks off the album. How can you not relate? Working that 9 to 5 that drains you from what you really want to do. Its like you’re falling down a bottomless pit that same thing over and over, which sounds extremely exhausting. The production on this track is overall so beautiful. Very delicate, but still has the elements of a hip-hop track.

6 cardinal fl
[ROYALS] I find 6 Cardinal fits perfectly with old-school hip-hop production. He sounds on point and his flow is too. The subject of this track is drug use. And what a perfect display of it with his first music video from FLOURISH. The visual artwork and art direction was created by Sean Walton. Love the visual really puts you on a psychedelic trip. But I do have to say I feel this track was a bit short, so gives us more 6 Cardinal!

[LUVJAWN] 6 Cardinal opens up and talks about LOVE. He talks about all the little moments that he truly cherishes. He even touches base on some intimate moments as well. His hook was inspired by Lil Kim and Notorious B.I.G – Crush On You. But made it his own.

[OUTRO] The overall feeling on this track is so positive. From the production and 6 Cardinal realness, this track kinda gives me those summer time vibes. I really like the auto-tuned chipmunk voice for the hook. “Keep the mind so open“. Great way to end the project.

Flourish. Flourish in life; in love; and in spirit.

Flourish in immortal youth, Unhurt amidst the wars of elements, The wrecks of matter, and the crush of worlds.” – Joseph Addison

This concludes my review on 6 Cardinal’s FLOURISH Album. Overall the project was a great listen. 6 Cardinal really embodies the roots of hip-hop with his stellar performance on FLOURISH. If you’re diggin’ the project as much as I am. Make sure to let 6 Cardinal know! Show your support by following him on all his social media links below:

[MIXTAPE REVIEW] A.C.T – Stage 4

An emcee born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and currently resides in Orlando, FL. We have a rap artist by the name of A.C.T, making his solo debut mixtape appearance with STAGE 4 on NikkiSiixx.com. He already carryies four solo mixtapes under his belt. A.C.T is also a part of Hip-Hop Group The Innovators. A.C.T has been working on STAGE 4 since late 2014, and we’re glad it’s finally out. He brings a look into a life when trying to graduate school and dealing with several hurdles that he needed to go over. Touches on challenges like developing himself as an artist, school issues, challenges with finding a job, relationships with women, getting a deeper understanding of God, fighting against the temptation of sexual lust and so much more.

STAGE 4 provides a mix of 90’s boom-bap and modern trap music. Gives a refreshing feel to the new and old. Somewhat like paying tribute. A.C.T is constantly working on creating music that everyone can relate to. With my mixtape review, I’ll be breaking down my favorite tracks. And the ones I find to really be stand out songs. My favorite tracks off of STAGE 4 are Intro, Loving It, Two Step, Chillin, Mic Flow, and Beauty And The Swamp.

[INTRO] Besides it being an actually introduction to A.C.T, he gives you a few facts about him. A.C.T daydreams about when he’ll bless Sway In The Morning with a dope freestyle. I thought this was a unique way to start the mixtape. Begins with great vibes and sure it will continue.

[LOVING IT] Bringing back those old school 90’s hip-hop vibes with this one. A.C.T emphasizes all the tough times he went through that helped him to really appreciate the good things in life. On this track we have the sultry songstress Jazzette making her vocals known throughout it.

screen-shot-2016-10-02-at-4-26-03-pm[TWO STEP] A.C.T embraces his confidence. Through his flow, lyrics, and story-telling. When he’s out with the boys and someone catches his attention. No matter the situation he still gets what he’s after. This track also features Innovator member Dez The Navigator.

[CHILLIN] Love the production on this song! Smooth and hard-hitting. Reminds me of cyphers back at Catalyst. You got to nod your head to this one. A.C.T’s flow is captivating, really stays strong and has BARS!

[MIC FLOW] You can tell A.C.T has a sense of humor, you can tell by the way he starts this track with a skit. What STAGE 4 really persist of are good vibes and enlighten lyrics. This track also features Cam Johnson on the second verse. So say if this was a battle, I would prefer A.C.T’s verse on this track.

[BEAUTY AND THE SWAMP] What a pleasant surprise! On this track, A.C.T has femcee Nikki G coming in with the first verse. I love her flow-etry. And with A.C.T’s tone in the second verse makes him sound like a beast. If you pick up on his wordplay, it’s hella witty. Great chemistry between the two, hope to hear more collars in the near future.

This concludes my mixtape review on A.C.T latest mixtape STAGE 4. Don’t think it was only six tracks that made the cut, there were couple other tracks that caught my attention. Especially, his track called How I Feel Part 2. Overall great vibes, revisiting 90’s boom-bap and modern hip-hop flows. A.C.T definitely presents promise with his lyrics and with his music you can relate too. Stay in the loop for more content from A.C.T by staying connected with his social media.

WORDS FROM A.C.T:
“First of all Big ups to God for being everything I need in my life. If it was not for him, I would not be here and I would not be able to make the music that he has blessed me to do. I would to send a special thank you to Rob Beatz for recording all of Stage 4 for me. I appreciate it big time!!!! Big ups to my producer Dez the Navigator, the best producer in the world all up in your DM’s lol. Big ups to, my engineer Pjizzle a.k.a Peej on the boardz. Shoutout to MagicxBeats, JBird, Mr. Troy and Tyrezz for all producing tracks for the mixtape as well. Big ups to all of those who were featured on the mixtape. Much love to all my family and friends that have been rocking off with me all these years. Remember this if nothing else. Be all that God wants you to be and let no one stop you!!! R.I.P to my friends/classmates Charisma Bush and Korryn Gaines. City 4 ever!

Scott Verity is dedicated to his journey and will be releasing a weekly offering from a visual to his blog and a beat tape to go with it. Expect the new-new every Friday. Take a look at Episode One: (This episode also inspired Committed to Consistency)

screen-shot-2016-09-28-at-12-22-15-pm[MEAL TICKET] One thing I really like about this beat, is giving me the sense of old school O-Town vibes. Southern hospitality at it’s finest. I can see the likes of Curren$y rapping to this. This beat definitely has some good vibrations on this.

[TWO FORTY-ONE AM] This beat for some reason reminds me of the Dave Chapelle show. When he’ll walk out on stage… The beat provides those night time vibes, I can see Wiz Khalifa rapping to this one. I really like the sound of flute, gives it a bit of foreign style to it.

[WEAKEST LINK] This beat comes with the heavy bass and soft tones. It’s a beat thats bit on the slow paced. I found it hard to pick up who would fit great with this beat, but that doesn’t mean this beat wouldn’t fit anyone.

Committed to Consistency is available for download at www.scoutveritybeats.com/freebeattape. This concludes my review on Scott Verity’s Committed to Consistency Beat Tape. What would be your favorite beat off this beat tape? For me, my favorite has to be MEAL TICKET. [PROJECT REVIEW] Uncle TreY – nostalgianticipation

[Monroe Country, PA] Making his return on NikkiSiixx.com, we have hip-hop artist Uncle Trey bringing us his project nostalgianticipation. We recently just featured his singles for MOJO & JUST A SUMMER LOVE, and doing a reaction video to those visuals as well. Uncle TreY has been working non-stop to perfect his latest project. And within the first listen I was already hooked, the thirteen track journey takes us in the perspective of TreY growing up and dealing with obstacles. nostalgianticipation contains a slew of 90’s samples that gives you that nostalgic feel to it.

Here’s a bit of his backstory before we get into the review. Uncle TreY is a Bronx born rapper currently residing in Monroe County, PA. Avoiding being conformed to a specific hip hop genre, he bases his music off of everyday life experiences and creates songs using profound & anomalous concepts. Having garnered a strong buzz on the internet & the local underground scene, he’s now looking to take the next step in hopes of reaching a larger audience… the world.

For nostalgianticipation, I’ll be reviewing my favorite and most stand out tracks on the project. Uncle TreY made it difficult, considering there’s a lot of solid work on it. So far my choices are: Uncle Hyde, Acknowledgement, Lost Cause, Mojo, Just A Summer Love, Excuses, and Just Living.

edit-2-2-2[01. UNCLE HYDE] Instantly, I would say this was the best song on the project and the best way to start it off. With Uncle TreY dealing with his dark side, it sounds like it got the best of him. From the choice of production by TreAces, and the flow Uncle TreY presents. It’s hard not to jam out to this one.

[02. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT] Its time to take notice, Uncle TreY has been working hard towards making it in his music career. People will be hating, and be more in disbelief considering his making it on his own. This track was produced by The Chase.

[05. LOST CAUSE] Even though this track has two songs in it. But I’m really feeling the beginning of it with Lost Cause. Straightjackits is cool, but Lost Cause really caught my attention. Uncle TreY talks on topics about Black Lives Matter and the disruption of politics. Lost Cause has this hard-hitting bass with smooth flow by Uncle TreY.

[08. MOJO] is perfect for the summer time. Uncle TreY talks about how he got his confidence back. He tells us a story how things started and how it turns out, with a specific girl. And how they even try to come back in his life after so long of not communicating with them. The hook is catchy, and has me singing along.

Check out my reaction to the visual to MOJO/JUST A SUMMER LOVE on
[Nikki Hears It First] Episode Nine:

[09. JUST A SUMMER LOVE] takes us back on a summer love he’s reminiscing about someone he hooked up with. Throughout the track Uncle TreY kinda focus on a specific listener, the one who he experienced that love affair with. Uncle TreY’s flow is on point and the content is very descriptive.

[11. EXCUSES] This song blew my mind. The hint of R&B by singer Ballad on the vocals, and Uncle TreY opening up about relationships and some stories. Really gives that 90’s R&B vibe, that you gotta vibe out to this one. I find this track might be a favorite for the lady listeners.

[13. JUST LIVING] Uncle TreY sounds amazing on this track. He’s able to maintain his flow on beat, and is super real with his lyrics. At the moment he’ll be interested but then lose interest. The women may feel confused but those are how things are. With Uncle TreY main focus is his music, the women he’s with might get it twisted. This track gives you a funky late-night production by Gold Haze and Rich Rescigno. Harmonies and hook by the beautiful Mariam.

This concludes my review of Uncle TreY’s nostalgianticipation. For the thirteen track journey, Uncle TreY took us on a ride. The project contains a lot of solid material, good vibes, and tough topics. What did you guys think about nostalgianticipation? Which were your favorite tracks? If you want a free digital copy of nostalgianticipation make sure you go to ItsBetterThanMusic.com. If you’re diggin Uncle TreY as much as I am, make sure you show support and follow him on all his social media.
