Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com we have New Jersey rapper JimmySoDope with his latest prequel project The Art of BREAKING Hearts EP. The five track EP has some hard-hitting beats with catchy and realistic lyrics. The first track on the EP MY 1ST CLUB SONG is actually the first single from the project featuring DJ Sienna Chanel and produced by Tone Jones. JimmySoDope expresses himself with how he breaks hearts, but can his heart break? Will we find up with his upcoming seventh body of work The Art of Break Hearts, which is set to release this winter on December 17th. Be on the lookout for more content from JimmySoDope by checking out his website jimmysodope.com
[Wilkes-Barre, PA] Making his return to NikkiSiixx.com we have Singer/Rapper/Producer Chris Fields with his latest mixtape Dreams Are Forever. Chris Fields was on a bit of a hiatus for about two years. But after gaining experiences he just wanted to share with you with what he got. The twelve track project really reflects on the Brooklyn Native. From his choice of production and with his flow. He really has that New York vibe to his music. If you’re diggin’ Dreams Are Forever make sure you let Chris Fields know.
[SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA]Today’s the day, where Hip-Hop Artist Dubby of Team Loko debuts his long awaited album Heart & Havoc. The nine track project takes us deep within Dubby’s life. With just the first listen you know this is definitely a solid project. Through the last few months, we’ve been featuring Dubby with collaborative projects and now we see him on his own. With a help with features from Cal Mobley, M. Maggie, Semmi, and Choo Jackson.
My favorite tracks off of Heart And Havoc are Brother, Leading The Lost, Chase, Time Machine, Oracle Arena, Lemmi Know, and Loosen Up My Tie. I will be reviewing my favorite tracks and why they really stand out to me.
[01. BROTHER] This might be the most intense song I’ve heard in awhile. Dubby opens up about his closest friend who he saw like he’s brother, dealing with mental issues. He felt more he’s brother was dealing with demons because of how crazy it was. You can hear Dubby’s passion with his demeanor on BROTHER. I can visualize what Dubby went through, he has a way with words and how can you not see it.
[02. LEADING THE LOST] Dubby can also get melodic, which is not a bad thing at all. The track also features Cal Mobley. I like when these artist collaborate with one another. I find them to make some pretty dope music together. The concept behind this track that if your actions inspire one to become more, you are a leader.
[03. CHASE] I can say this one has to be my favorite tracks off of Heart And Havoc. The overall ambience it brings is so majestic. But besides this song is epic, you have to see the visual to it. And here it is:
See more of what I thought about the visual with my reaction to watching Dubby’s music video to CHASE:
[05. TIME MACHINE] This is really another favorite off the album. The track also features singer M. Maggie. I really like the vibe to this one. Dubby explains the concept of this track “you can never truly hide from life’s demons. They live inside you. You must fight“.
[06. ORACLE ARENA] Dubby discusses his fight with demons. Doing things he’s not supposed to, lying, cheating, pretty much up to no good. The message behind this track is our envy lasts longer than the happiness of those we envy. I really like his flow on this one.
[07. LEMMI KNOW] Featuring Semmi, this track would fit perfectly in a club/party scene. This track is filled with fast hard-hitting bars. The track embodies the If I Ride, We Ride.
[08. LOOSEN UP MY TIE] Times can get rough and you find yourself searching for an escape from reality. You might be able to get away for a little by finding the right outlet. This track features Choo Jackson. Here’s where Dubby’s lyrics brings us a visual to his story. And also the hook is catchy.
“This is the first time I’ve sold my music in 8 years. The last time was when I was pushing my mixtape for $5 in my high school hall way. The growth of the sound and the hustle have really paved the way for the TLA movement and I’m extremely proud and excited to finally have a project the exemplifies that growth. It’s been a long time coming.” -DUBBY
This concludes my review on Team Loko’s Dubby latest album Heart And Havoc. If you’re diggin’ Dubby’s Heart And Havoc Album, then you should definitely support the artist by getting your copy or stream it on Spotify. Make sure to stay in the loop of everything Dubby by following him on all his social media links below.
[COLUMBUS, GA] Making his very first appearance on NikkiSiixx.com, Christian Hip-Hop Artist Dezzy Yates brings us his album TALES FROM THE CHECKERED BACKPACK. The twelve track album brings you insight from a self proclaimed video gamer, Japanese comic, Pokemon, and Hip-Hop enthusiast. Dezzy Yates also wants to spread the word to “tell people about Jesus and share and create great music that people can relate to.”
Inspired by artists like Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, and Kid Cudi as well as street dancers Salah, Mike “Boogaloo Shrimp” Chambers, and the Jabbawockeez, intertwined with his faith in Jesus Christ and his love for nerd “stuff”. Dezzy Yates gives the listener an honest, truthful, and fun experience. I really like the choice of production Dezzy Yates chose to represent his tales from the checkered backpack. Dezzy narrates his life from 2010-2013, here’s where he had many life changing events that led him to give his life for Jesus Christ. This album has its ups and its downs. And definitely has its fun songs filled with video game and Pokemon references.
Currently, my favorite tracks from Dezzy Yates Album Tales From The Checkered Backpack are Tales, Pallet Town, Just Another Night, Step Daddys Altima, Sonic Boom, One Day, Kid In The Crowd, Temptation, Misguided, and INFTY & BYND. Not bad 10/12 tracks liked on this project. Dezzy Yates is able to capture my attention through his flows and the topics he’s talking about. Definitely providing a visual illustration in my mind.
Dezzy Yates states in the press release for his album “I tried for so long to be like everyone else, rap and dance like the “cool kids”, and fit in so bad. After giving my life to Christ and confronting the things I was dealing with, I felt compelled to write a project that documented everything. The whole point of this album: to reach those out there who are like me.” After listening to his project, I feel I can relate to Dezzy and I think everyone should listen to this project with open minds. Stay in the loop with Dezzy Yates and make sure you follow him on all his social media below.
[BOSTON] Making his third appearance on NikkiSiixx.com, after his releases like his singles “Hawaiian $hirt$” & “Ashes”. This time we take a look at J Roy Champion’s Hawaiian $hirt$ & Work Mixtape. But here’s a little bit more on the Boston Artist. Growing up with family who embraced music from Blues, Reggae, Classic R&B, and even Hip-Hop. (Thanks to his Father, who was a DJ for years prior to his birth, and there after). This gave J Roy Champion an advantage of learning about music at an early age. Don’t think J Roy Champion is a new comer when already having released eight solo mixtapes to date, his focus now is on his own brand, starting fresh, and redefining himself as a fan of Hip-Hop Culture and being a creator of Hip-Hop music.
Now we have he’s latest mixtape Hawaiian $hirt$ & Work, the six track project definitely provides insightful lyrics over promising production. I’ll be reviewing my favorite tracks off the project. And they are Nazareth, Witne$$, Hawaiian Shirt$, A$hes, and Never.
NAZARETH From the production to an actual visual to J Roy Champion single, I really find this track to be very powerful. “I’m God Like On My Fight To Nazareth” its like nothing can stop him on his journey to making it to the top.
WITNE$$ Keeping his family close, working hard like a hustler but keeping his mind clean with the Lord on his side. Knowing who’s on his side there no doubts on J Roy Champion side. Also, the hook is extremely catchy! How can you not like this track?
HAWAIIAN SHIRT$ – By 2:29 there’s a switch up and I really like the approach to that snippet. It literally felt like I was jamming to another track. HAWAIIAN SHIRTS was produced by Hona Castello and co-produced by Savilion.
A$HES – A$HES, features six of Boston’s Finest Emcees: J Roy Champion, Intl Show, Ken Casanova, Exec The Bright, DaGirl IzReal, and Kenny Klutch. A$HES presents us with a classic 90’s hip-hop beat which was produced by Savilion. By having all this talent on the track definitely provides a cypher theme going on. Its pretty dope he still embodies the concept after getting inspired when he discovered the underground scene through a cypher.
NEVER Ends it a bit slow but still leaves you with a punch in the face. Giving you a descriptive story that it’s hard not to visualize it. J Roy Champion is a great story-teller and found a perfect flow for this type of production, produced by International Show.
Hawaiian Shirts & Work is now available for purchase at all digital retail outlets like iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Rhapsody, and Google Play. Mixed and Mastered by Intl Show at SOE Studios Written and Arranged by J Roy Champion (BMI). Be on the lookout for more content from Boston’s own J Roy Champion by following him on all his social media outlets below and this concludes my review on his EP.
Live from the state of New Jersey, Rapper Tox comes through with his latest mixtape “Reach For The Stars 2” and it’s good. For 11 tracks Tox holds it down on the mic on his own with very little features. On this project, he talks about his dreams to play in the NFL and how he was led to the music industry instead. The mixtape is mostly full of smooth tracks and melodic hooks. Make sure you follow Tox on Twitter.
This weekend I took time to vibe out to a new EP entitled “Voices” from California recording artist Vince Scxtt. The album’s intro track sets the tone and mood for the rest of the project. From song one through nine, Vince Scxtt takes us on a smooth and melodic ride with production from Bijan Amir, Mike Hector, Mike $antana and Derrick Ingram. Make sure you follow Vince Scxtt on Twitter and stream the project on Apple Music, Tidal and Spotify.
Making his return back on NikkiSiixx.com, Tommy Swisher brings us his latest project My Box of Unsent Love Letters EP. With the EP release he also dropped the visuals to his separate single THE DEMAND! Tommy Swisher is a force to be recon with, from dropping projects, visuals, and dope music. Tommy Swisher is an artist to look out for from Atlanta, Georgia. My Box of Unsent Love Letters EP is a ten track voyage through passed emotions Tommy Swisher had experienced from previous lovers. The EP features guest appearances from Rome Fortune, Rikki Blu and ThouxbanFauni, as well as production credits from the likes of FKi, Deko, OG Parker, Cultie, E.Wonder and RXLVND. The project is hosted by DJ Genesis and IAmGambinoATL. Here’s a look to his music video THE DEMAND:
Saint Louis, Mo. own J.R. just released his Gang Season EP on February 26th. J.R. is most known for his breakout single “Best Friend“, featuring Grammy award winner, Trey Songz. The 7 song EP shows a range of diversity. Starting with the title track “Gang Season“. On “Today” he shows how important it is to live in the moment with the hook saying “I live for today, fuck tomorrow“. He gives us an inside look of St. Louis on “You See It“. Then he switches the tempo and gives us great weekend playlist music on “Party Bussin“. J.R. slows it down on “Never Say Never” which sounds like a sweet love song until you listen to the lyrics. Followed by his biggest song to date “Best Friend“. He ends the project on a darker note with “Murda” on which he speaks on death. Overall the “Gang Season” was a great listen.
The project can be purchased on iTunes or streamed through Apple Music. It can also be streamed via soundcloud below:

[JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA] It’s been about two years since aspiring hip-hop artist Chronicle released DARK DAYS EP. But now for the end of 2015 Chronicle brings us his first LP entitled BRIGHT NIGHTS. Through his hiatus Chronicle was able to work on his craft and was able to find his place in music. With my LP Review I’ll be going over my favorite tracks off the Bright Nights (Deluxe Edition).
Even though the title of the LP “Bright Nights” maybe an oxymoron term but it definitely provides a positive through negative type of vibe. Chronicle remains with soulful sounds such as 90’s R&B, Jazz, and Hip-Hop. He was able to portray these vibes with the help from producers Taylor King, LB, Saul xo, Stevie Fanta, ghost/\/ghoul, Soul, and atlastheoverseer.
BRIGHT NIGHTS LP is a story reflecting on the struggle corcerning his family, relationship woes, insecurities, and a distaste for the current direction of the music scene. Regardless to all these issues/struggles Chronicle insist that there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. Anything you do, make sure it’s done with love.
CHILL ASS INTRO is a great way to show you a sense of what Chronicle is going through and how the vibe it’s setting itself. Right at the beginning you hear from his parents, loved ones, about when is he getting his music together? The intro also features Dezy.
NOSTALGIC kinda reminds me of Gangsta’s Pradise from Coolio. With that dark night/90’s hip-hop production. “Give my people something to live for, Give my people something to die for.” That hook is eternal! Throughout everyone struggle they need to see the light in order to have the reason to live and climb through any obstacles.
LET ME LIVE I feel that this track can definitely be played in a club setting. Especially with the chorus, I can see the crowd go through a trance. Chronicle speaks the truth from experience. Coming together with good people and celebrating with what life has to offer. And if anyone has an issue with that, then give them that middle finger.
POUR OUT YA SOUL really expresses how he feels about his family and how he is when it comes to certain situations. Chronicle also touches topics regarding how people are following trends and eve insecurities in relationships. During these tough times, Chronicle is compelled to search for hope from a higher power.
DO YOU LOVE ME, I feel this track is one of the strongest one on the Bright Nights LP. Discussing the problem he has regarding now a days with woman calling themselves bad bitches and not giving themselves enough dignity.
MIDNIGHT DRIVE is setting the mood for those late night drives with someone you’re interested in. This track is meant for that special lady in your life. Everything about this girl is something you can’t ignore. Chronicle expresses the intensity of attraction. With a minute left in the song you can hear how Chronicle embraces that R&B style he loves so much.
O.T.S is the track to help younger generations to realize things should be done when you’re truly ready such as having kids at a young age. Hoping that other parties will understand and respect your decision. Especially when it comes to letting certain people out of your lives. O.T.S features Vizzle.
This concludes my take on the Bright Nights LP brought to you by Jacksonville Upcoming Hip-Hop Artist Chronicle! If you’re diggin’ the project as much as I am you need to go and support it now and purchase it via iTunes! By doing so you’ll be able to get the BONUS tracks too that include I’m Just Doing Me, Bright Nights, American Dream, and Do You Remember.
Speed on the Beat is an average guy with a gift for putting his soul in to music. This time around Speed on the Beat was dealing with the massive loss of his mother and this year would have been her 66th birthday. On November 11th, (In celebration of his mothers birthday) Speed on the Beat released his first solo album Unhinged (The Case Study of Speed on the Beat). The overall emotion gave Speed the drive to create 12 new songs that provided different style to different feelings. This is the perfect introduction to who Speed on the Beat really is. The project is kinda like his case study. Hear the project and get his story. Unhinged is a mixture of aggressive lyrics to Weeknd influenced vocals. Speed on the Beat’s group Team DAR makes an appearance on the album. My favorite tracks of Unhinged The Case Study of Speed On The Beat are The Waiting (Intro), Heartless, Flower Bed (Goodbye, Mother), No Hook, Remember The Name, and Promised Land.
As Caddy Pack makes her debut on NikkiSiixx with her visual to her lead single KANYE, I bring you an exclusive review on her GOOD Mixtape. The twelve track project presents us with different styles to Caddy Packs rhymes. She has the capability to rap fast and on beat. Caddy Pack’s GOOD Mixtape also has features from Waka Flocka Flame, Mello Charmillz, and Young KB. Caddy Pack has impeccable punchlines, that she presents her self with an innovative style to her flows. Caddy Pack should be considered a gem since its rare to find a female artist in her parts of the world. She is always opened to new ideas, especially when it comes to working with music producers from a different range of genres. Caddy Pack is able to write her own rhymes and you might even catch her singing a hook or two. My favorite tracks off the GOOD Mixtape are I Bet She Go, Money In My Pocket, Hustle Grind, Cookies and Bass, and KAYNE.
I BET SHE GO This track continues off the GOOD Intro. Caddy Pack brings that club-crunk vibe along side Atlanta Artist Waka Flocka Flame. She rips it with her fast rhymes while giving us something to bump to.
MONEY IN MY POCKET Is such a fun song! Caddy Pack goes in what she does with the money in her pocket. “IF I LIKE IT. THEN I ROCK IT. I GOT MONEY IN MY POCKET“..its super catchy. I even like how Caddy Pack adds the aggressive growl/roar to the hook. Who wouldn’t want to use their money on things that they want.
HUSTLE GRIND Caddy Pack was able to engage the trap sound that HUSTLE GRIND brings to the table. Also, on the track is with Switzerland Artist Mello Charmillz. I think they both should make more music together. I really like how the song came out as a whole.
COOKIES AND BASS Caddy Pack experiments in the world of EDM with the production that brings us some electronic sounds and some heavy bass. The electronic sounds remind me of an old arcade game sounds (8bit). Caddy Pack takes a witty approach with what she has to say. You can find the visual to this video on her youtube channel: CADDY PACK.
KAYNE represents the person you want to be, someone whose successful and truly believes in themselves. The Beat was produced by Tuny Chris and the video was directed by Marco Giglio. For the track KANYE, I find the hook to be very catchy! This song makes you feel unstoppable. This song is meant for the ones who are confident and are ready to take over the world. Watch now the music video for KAYNE via NikkiSiixx.
Surprisingly, Caddy Pack is only 4’9 Tall but she can fill a room with her energy. Which will leave a fascination with the audience. She gets hundreds of people to call and response to her and her songs even though many hear them for the first time. Until now she has had shows over all Germany and is ready for her international breakthrough. Be on the lookout, I’ll be doing an interview with Caddy Pack soon. And don’t forget to follow her on all her social media links.
[MIAMI, FLORIDA] After a year of hiatus, Meyday Hansen makes his return to NikkiSiixx.com with his The Tilted Frame EP. Mayday Hansen decided to get his life together and make something from his experiences he endured. The overall sound is loud, very distorted, aggressive, and grungy. I can definitely hear this being played at a Halloween Party, for sure. The Tilted Frame EP is not your regular hip-hop project. Different sounds and vibes opens up your mind, and you might even find some gems. Thought Tune Out was a dope track and Commercials Breaks Can Be Fun Too from how dramatic Meyday Hansen’s story-telling is. Also, check out the cover art for the project, it’s Meyday Hansen riding a muthafukin’ rabbit that kinda reminds me of a Pikachu!
[MIAMI, FL] Kame House EP was created by producer/engineer/songwriter/artist itzedBoi. Maintaining years in working with Miami Artists, he’s been able to expand across the country with London Artists as well. itzedBoi completed the EP by producing, writing, and mixing the tracks all by himself. Kame House is a fun and filled with high energy that is something you have to bump to. Topics discussed on the project are from nerd humor, hip-hop and pop culture, video games, and even some anime. As you can tell by the cover art, itzedBoi remains true to his gamer side, by adding himself as an 8bit character design. Based off of all these topics, I feel there’s a track for everybody. My favorite songs off the Eight track EP are: INTRO, RIDE ALONG, DRAGON KING, LORD LISTEN, and HI. What’s your favorite tracks off the Kame House EP. Stay in the loop for upcoming releases via his social media accounts. [LINKS] TWITTER || INSTAGRAM ||
[MIAMI, FLORIDA] LEMIEUX is a super producer, ever since gaining his powers at nine years old. He had the capabilities of creating music at such at a young age. Ranging from different genres such as jazz, aggressive hardcore/metal bands, hip-hop, and marching band ensembles. On his recent project, he collaborated with Oyabun. The 5 track EP is produced entirely by LEMIEUX. You can tell the diversity in his productions while Oyabun brings it to life with his lyrics. My favorite tracks were I HAVE A DREAM, SLAVE SHIP, and MANSA MUSA. Throughout the years producing, he’s worked for all kinds of artists such as Jesse Boykins III, Father and KeithCharles SPACEBAR from Awful Records, the whole PayUp Game collective, and much more.
[NAPTOWN, INDIANAPOLIS] Idiotic Oddity is a unique artist that mixes hip-hop, pop, and rock within his genre. This presents a wide arrange of sounds that Idiotic Oddity adapted to quickly. You may think is a bit out of the norm, but who is normal nowadays? Oddity’s also does his own vocals, making an appearance on his hooks/chorus. Really catchy! Wanting me to press replay. Idiotic Oddity released his self titled EP Idiotic Oddity. I find this to be a great introduction to who Oddity is as an artist. The refreshing production and melodies reminded me of one of my favorite Indie Electronic Duos The Limousines. With a dancy 80’s synth and 90’s influenced pop. But Idiotic Oddity provides a hip-hop flow to his verses. Idiotic Oddity EP is a five track project, here’s what I thought about my favorite tracks off of it.
CERTAIN WAY One thing I really like about this song is the production and the catchiness of the hook. Oddity expresses his interest in someone whose not giving the attention he wanted, so he just had to let them go. Admitting his true feelings to her, knowing he’ll be burning their bridge of friendship since he knew the feelings weren’t reciporcal. Regardless, in a way it’s for the best, since he started to feel like he was being led on from a far.
EVERYTHING TO ME Here’s another track where Oddity is expressing himself to a woman of interest. Predicting scenarios if they were to be together. One thing I like about this track is Oddity’s slower flow. You’re able to fully listen to his dialogue and I feel he gets his point across.
TONIGHT ALONE Oddity has the capability to make a catchy hook! Here’s a track where the production takes us more on the rock and roll side. Oddity adapted a faster delivery over the guitar riffs. It just goes to show that Idiotic Oddity is able to work on different sounding music. This track really gives off an indie electronic style. Which I don’t mind because I enjoy that type of genre.
Idiotic Oddity is inspired from artist like Frank Ocean, Drake, Tyler The Creator, and Childish Gambino. You can sense what artists inspired how he took his hooks and melodies with Frank Ocean and Drake while Tyler The Creator and Childish Gambino inspired his lyrical approach to his storytelling. With Oddity and his music it catches the listeners’s attention and sparking their curiosity. If you’re diggin’ the Idiotic Oddity EP make sure to listen via SPOTIFY. And follow him on all his social media links to stay in the loop.
