[MIAMI, FLORIDA] Growing up in different neighborhoods from North Miami Beach, to Overtown, to Perrine, and even down to Homestead. Lamont was living and dealing with the struggles of living in the inner city. Even witnessing his parents battle drug addiction which gave him the strength to vow to never sell those drugs under any kind of circumstance. This is where Lamont truly began developing himself as a person. Currently, Lamont has released his Respect My Grind project that consists of five tracks. I gotta say that Respect My Grind was very well put together. Project credits from recorded by Lifer Entertainment, Mixed by D.Shim Productions, and Executive Produced by Lamont himself. Respect My Grind has a powerful vivid honesty that goes well with his empathetic lyrics. Lamont starts with Disclaimer, bringing that hardcore side of himself with the grittiness of his flow. Then Lamont brings with his next track MASHED POTATOES. Feel with R&B vibes and a catchy hook. A track to get your girl in the mood. The following track is entitled ANOTHER YEAR, which is dedicated to all the people you know who are no longer here. Its like we need to celebrate cause we’re here for another year. Another dope track with those R&B vibes. Then Lamont takes us to church with his track LORD KNOWS. Lamont goes in on this one, he describes a woman asking why they took her baby, he was killed from violence on the street. RESPECT MY GRIND is more of a fun, soulful track where Lamont gives you his back story and let’s you know the only way to work is going the hardest. My favorite tracks are Disclaimer, Mashed Potatoes, and Another Year. But my all time favorite track has to be MASHED POTATOES, because how catchy it is and his flow is sick on this one. Your left impressed with his capability to flow on these different sounding tracks. Lamont did a mixture of sampled and boom-bap beats. Respect The Grind is worth the listen since Lamont is standing up in his artistry and expressing himself the best way he knows how, and that’s through his music. Be on the look out for more releases from Lamont by following his social media links.
[PATERSON, NJ] SaFE has started his solo musical endeavor, after being featured in M.O.B.Star five full-length projects. Download his debut project DEAD DUCK available in both standard and deluxe editions. Fifteen Tracks, DEAD DUCK‘s production was brought to you by Arkutec, Bravestarr, CJ Beatz, Superstar O and others to bring that 90’s organic hip-hop to the project. DEAD DUCK title comes from the American idiom. SaFE thinks that real hip-hop has been declared unsuccessful and useless. Each track expresses his strong feelings towards the culture. DEAD DUCK also a symbol in his brand, Duckhunters. The Duckhunter philosophy charges the participant to reclaim control over their adversities— both internal and external— and overcome them to realize their dreams. SaFE wears a duck mask to assume the role of Davey Duckhunter, as a tribute to all of the dead ducks— abandoned dreams, fruitless projects and failed goals.
[MIAMI, FLORIDA] Hip-Hop Artist Brenton recently released his official mixtape release for “The One Who Knocks“. The fifteen track mixtape is inspired by Oddisee, 9th Wonder, The Alchemist and others, as well as original production from J57, PCP Beatz and Elite Producers. And how about Breaking Bad? Right at the beginning in The One Who Knocks Intro you hear Walter White telling his wife Skylar that he’s danger and throughout the mixtape you hear snippets from the show. For this track: KNOCK IT OFF featuring Kris Kasanova on the track and amazing production by J57 from Brown Bag Allstars. Really diggin’ this slow 90’s style to KNOCK IT OFF. Boom-bap heads out there can vibe out to this. Brenton takes the first verse as Kris Kasanova closes it off with the second. Some of my favorite tracks we’re: I’M COOL (Inspired By 9th Wonder), FEELIN IT (Inspired By Jay-Z), LET THE BEAT DROP featuring Phil The Thrill (Inspired By Xaphoon Jones), and THE L-O-V-E Song (Inspired By Oddisee). This Brooklyn Native shows his roots by choosing tracks inspired by artist from that state. Don’t forget to download THE ONE WHO KNOCKS by Brenton and follow him on social media.
Check this out, fierce femcee OG PinkLips releases her EP Hoez Luv Pink. Hosted by DJHustlenomics and presented by 114 Sura Gang. The production was a collaboration between Glo Gang Productions and members of DP Beats and BassKidsOnTheBeat. OG PinkLips definitely brings a lot of trap influence with the way she raps and the picks of production. Hoez Luv Pink contains six tracks filled with trance like flows. My favorite tracks off the project are Pull Up, Stevie Wonder, and Can’t Stay Awake.

[QUEENS, NEW YORK] Cash Sinatra is bringing us that fire with his latest EP titled Nineteen 90 Somethin. For Us 90′ Kids we’re going to really vibe out to this one. Classic Tracks over very familiar R&B instrumentals from the 90’s and re-touched by 2015 flavor. Ranging from Blackstreet, Aaliyah, R.Kelly, and Ghost town DJs. Nineteen 90 Somethin was inspired by his track One In A Million inspired by Aaliyah’s smooth rhythm. Off of his eight track EP my favorite tracks off of the Nineteen 90 Somethin are Doo-Wop, Color Me Lit, IDLY II, One In A Million, Think Of You, and No Diggity. [SOUTH FLORIDA] After releasing his track Tiffany / Kiss The Ring, SIN has been getting nothing but love from NikkiSiixx readers. This track definitely built anticipation for SIN’s upcoming Dark Waters EP. Premiering exclusively through DJ.Booth.net. My favorite tracks off Dark Waters is 100MPH, Tiffany / Kiss The Ring, Shakedown, 16jabs, For The Homies, Vibe and Fork In The Road. Basically, the whole project is a favorite.
“I wanted to fully capture the organic hip-hop feel and blend it with my own sound. [The EP] has a dark undertone, but the presence of a giant bully.” -SIN
The project rides through eight tracks. The producers who were involved were able to grasp that overall dark undertone that SIN needed to express making a triumph over his bully. Producers were: Rojas On The Beat, Nick Leon, Scottzilla, Nuez, The Pyrvmids, Anthology, and Dark Night. SIN only had one feature and that was with REKS on the Shakedown track. Dope collaboration between the two.

As time passes, feelings and vibes can change too. Inspired by the seasons throughout the year, Milwaukee Hip-Hop/R&B Artist Klassik presents us with his Autumn EP. Pretty dope considering over this passed weekend Pigeons & Planes premiered the project on their site. Warmer days are fewer and farther between, but in the days before you buckle down from the frost of WINTER again. The AUTUMN season allows for an introspective harvest of all vibrations and energy that allows you to be creative. Klassik is able to maintain this because he gets super soulful with his melodic singing and he produced the tracks himself. Recorded and mastered by Mammyth Audio. For being three tracks long, the project holds the fort down. Only if it had about 2-3 more tracks, then I would of felt it more complete. But hey, Klassik definitely has a new sense to where R&B and Hip-Hop can come together. Take a look at the other season projects Klassik came up with within this passed year: WINTER – SPRING – SUMMER. Be in the loop & stay connected.
JAMESCOLD is an upcoming R&B/Hip-Hop artist that was born and raised in New York City but currently resides in the beautiful sunny state of Florida. Inspired by the change and adaptation to a new culture JAMESCOLD presented his first EP titled Ocala. The style and grace of Ocala, embraces that dark and mellow sounds. I sense Drake/Weekend vibes throughout the project, it’s definitely worth a listen! JAMESCOLD goal is to put Ocala on the map in recognition for it’s musical talent that’s constantly over looked for being a small city. Executive Produced By James Cole and featured producers included Patchrickk, Kelly Portis, Yung Frank, and Wonya Love. My favorite tracks from the Ocala EP are The Motion, Overdose, OrdinaryAllAmerican, Running, and The Come Up. Be on the lookout on more content from JAMESCOLD!
Last thing we have from Boston Rapper Latrell James was his music video for THE BUTTON. Which is also on his current project entitled Twelve. My favorite tracks off of Latrell James Twelve are Beautiful Day, Distance, Flying Nimbus, The Button, On My Own, and Candles. Twelve represents Latrell’s life from age 12 to 24. Dealing with changes and growing on his journey from adolescence to adulthood. The project was self-produced alongside his brother Tedd Boyd. Great overall production.
Check out the visual for his single ON MY OWN. Directed by Downlow Productions. ON MY OWN explains a point in Latrell’s life where he felt he needed to remove certain people that were preventing him from earning success. The music video you’re able to sense Latrell on his own and keeping focus on his lyrics.
Sometimes it can take a lifetime of trials and tribulations for a person realize their true aspirations. For me, the maturation of my artistic journey can be experienced in a span of twelve years. – Latrell James
While Latrell James continues to work hard in accomplishing his dreams in becoming an established artist, we just have to wait and see what he has next.
Even though this project was released back March 2015 I feel like you need to download it like right now! Why because Alex Wiley presents us with his One Singular Flame Emoji EP which presents us trance like flows over psychedelic/drum & bass production. It was pretty dope how Wiley released his project directly to his fans who were following him on twitter. They were able to get the first listen. One Singular Flame Emoji EP is definitely on another level.. Favorite tracks off the EP are: Whip, Solo, Spark Something, Right Right featuring Kembe X, Ready, and Top of The World. We had featured Right Right on NikkiSiixx.com view what I thought out about the track review. Wiley was working on a proper follow-up to his Village Party. He was under major stress because he was focusing heavily on concepts, themes, and the pressures associated with following up a critically & fan approved project. He was able to devote 30 days Alex Wiley was making fun songs that reminded him about what he enjoyed most about rap. Currently Alex Wiley is closing up on his new LP. Stay in the loop with Alex Wiley by following him on his social media links below, you never know what to expect.

IzztheUnknown is a young artist that invokes the Golden-Age of Hip-Hop with his music. He embraces the year 1995, which is basically the introduction to his mixtape and his year of birth. Seems like he gained some type of ancestral spirits from artists like the Lords of the Underground, Public Enemy, EPMD, and GZA. His style sounds like the streets of 1990s New York. Which he sounds great over these tracks, IzztheUnknown raps over nine instrumentals from 1995 artists such as Wu-tang, Eazy E, Bone Thugs and more. My favorite tracks off 1995 are 1] Once Upon A Time 2] Ride To It 5] Back In A Dazeee & 6] No Competition. Diggin’ his flows? Rock Steady Crew Member/Poet-MC/Queen of the Ring/Latina/Activist MyVerse is debuting the new year with her album State of the Art. The thirteen track album gives you a closer look into MyVerse’s Universe. Starting the project with her spoken word on P.O.E.T, in which she speaks so passionately. MyVerse is the essence of hip-hop. She portrays the style, vibe, and overall experience. Her track Vida Linda captures MyVerse hispanic roots (Puerto Rico/Panama) with her Spanish lyrics over this dope hip-hop beat produced by BaseCampBeats. She also rips it in SPANISH, on Orijen. She’s definitely on point over Butterscotch’s beatboxing.

This 2Pac inspired track features soundbites from his infamous character, Bishop in from movie “Juice”. You catch 2pac right in the beginning to set it of right.
