[DALLAS, TEXAS] Fat Pimp has signed a multi-year recording deal with California based Dirty Water Music. One of the few independent artist to be blessed with a three week stint on the Billboard hip hop charts, multiple times. Fat Pimp released his latest single Hurt They Feelings earlier this year which quickly found its way to MTV Jams. Warner Bros missed out the opportunity back in 2008 when they had a chance to sign Fat Pimp. Looking towards new horizons, Fat Pimp and his management team went to Dallas, Texas to start the new endeavor with Dirty Water Music. Congratulations to Fat Pimp from the staff at NikkiSiixx.com and we can’t wait to hear your new content. But in the meantime, for our listeners to get a proper introduction we have Fat Pimp’s latest project HURT THEY FEELINGS.
I’ve been told by valuable sources of possible jabs at Nicki Minaj, taken by XXL Freshman Classman Tink. Tink is the featured artist on Chicago Artist J. Reign track WANNA DO. Tink was signed with Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group, an imprint of Epic Records, in October 2014. Pretty interesting, considering back last year in November, Tink was considered a candidate of being the next Nicki Minaj via Billboard. Tink is a possible threat since she can sing and can rap. With Timberland co-signing Tink and her non-stop growing fan base. Timberland also stated that Aaliyah came to him in a dream saying Tink is the one, the one artist that can possibly bring back the style and essence of Aaliyah’s sound. This year May, Tink had an interview with NY Mag, regarding how Nicki Minaj is an inspiration to her to start rapping. “I’ll be honest with you, before I heard Nicki rapping, I probably wouldn’t have thought to rap myself. Just to see a female doing it and being in there with the guys, it was motivation.” VIA NY Mag.
Something must’ve sparked Tink between the time she said that to right before recording her verse. In the studio session, Tink was flamed on and insisted on having her verse go first on WANNA DO. The track was recorded at an unknown studio in Chicago. But after it was recorded her PR company insisted on getting it deleted. Luckily Tink, couldn’t hold back and was still able to leave at least one remark against Nicki on the remake of the verse.
I had to look more into this and what I discovered was Silicone-filled implants are silicone shells filled with a plastic gel (silicone). Also, I would think if mentioning something artificial she’s intending their must be something fake about Nicki. Considering, Tink stays true to what she raps about. We just have to see if anything else plays out. Check out the latest from Tink with Winters Diary 3 Mixtape.
It is hard to clearly define the genre that NoMBe fits into, on his latest track “Miss Mirage”, he doesn’t make that task any easier but he pleases the ears nonetheless and that’s all that matters when you are making music. NoMBe is an artist in every sense of the word, producing, writing, mixing and mastering his latest soulful offering into the blogesphere. With a unique combination of electro soul, old school hip-hop and indie/pop, NoMBe will surely separate himself from the rest of your playlist with his sound. “Miss Mirage” is a smooth ride with enough up’s and down’s to keep you guessing while also enjoying the ride. The song has been featured on notable outlets such as HillyDilly and Billboard and with over 180,000 plays on Soundcloud it has grown and will probably continue to spread across the world. NoMBe is planning to release an EP titled Mood Indigo later this year, but for now listen to “Miss Mirage” on Soundcloud and enjoy the ride! [LINKS] WEBSITE || SOUNDCLOUD || TWITTER || FACEBOOK ||
Check out the second visual off of Art Morera’s album Around Midnight, the official music video for BILLBOARD. What an amazing track! The lyrics, the production, and the overall performance by Art Morera really demonstrates how he is so diverse with his overall sound and appeal with his music. This has to be one of my favorites off this album. Art Morera takes us on a journey through an independent artist view on how he’s trying to bring his music to the world.
BILLBOARD was filmed by Kimber Vasquez, he was able to capture so many candid moments. Video locations range from Miami, Florida and San Francisco, California. Art Morera brings life to Nixon’s amazing production. Throughout the video you see Art’s street-team making rounds and promoting Art’s music. On one occasion Art’s cd was thrown away from someone who wasn’t interested. They left the cd on the floor and at another point someone notices the cd and picks it up, then gives it a listen. Which goes to show you when you give an honest listen you might come across some gems.
BILLBOARD is one of those gems, consider the entire Around Midnight album a treasure chest with dope tracks such as LOUD, Story of My Life, The Allure, Blurry and Alright! If you’re not familiar with these tracks take a listen and download the album on iTunes, or listen to entire discography via Spotify. If you’re the type of person who prefers to watch visuals than listen to the music. I would suggest for you to view Art Morera’s YOUTUBE Channel for everything you need in a music videos, visual EPs (Extended Play), films, documentaries, and recaps. Also, he was recently just interviewed by NikkiJoMazing. BILLBOARD‘s hook is just impressive. Catchy… if not take a look for yourself:
You bumpin’ my cd, watch me on tv, see me around you think I’m famous. Look up cause you need me not cause you’re beneath me. It’s just that I’m on my way up on a BILLBOARD. Yeah, Maybe you love me? Maybe then you’ll love me.”
