Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are recognized as one of the most successful hip-hop groups selling 50 million records. The hip hop group from Cleveland, Ohio are best known for their fast-paced rapping style and harmonizing vocals. In 1997, the group received the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance with their song “Tha Crossroads”. Since its conception in the early 1990s, they have been honored with other numerous awards. Bone Thugs are the only artist to do acts with Eazy-E, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., and Big Pun.

In 2013, it was announced that five of the six original members of Three 6 Mafia, DJ Paul, Crunchy Black, Koopsta Knicca, Lord Infamous and Gangsta Boo, were reuniting as “Da Mafia 6ix” with plans to release an album. Da Mafia 6ix released their first mixtape in November titled 6ix Commandments. The tape was almost entirely produced by DJ Paul and featured Yelawolf, 8Ball & MJG, Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, SpaceGhostPurrp and HCP affiliates Lil Wyte, Skinny Pimp and La Chat, among others. It debuted at number 34 on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and #5 on iTunes.
