Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com, we have Miami artist Starve Marve with his latest single RAIN CLOUD. Starve Marve presents an ambience like no other. The way he speaks its spoken word from within. The song is a mix of Electronic and a bit of Boom Bap. Starve Marve flow is smooth and unique. RAIN CLOUD features Africa Kenyah and Scholar, the track was produced live on a drum machine. If you’re diggin’ Starve Marve’s vibe then you gotta support and let him know! RAIN CLOUD is definitely worth the replay!
[CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA] Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com, Producer iLLie Nelson (Originating from Queens, NY) with his beat entitled KINGS. This is actually his first Electronic Hip-Hop beat from his Beat Tape “No More Lights“. iLLie Nelson provides an energizing summer anthem with KINGS.
This beat/vibe is perfect for just listening to it from the gym, your car, the club, your home, a house party. It kinda reminds me of playing Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core on the PSP. That electronic uplifting sound brings me back to the countless hours playing it. This beat is entertaining on its own. Definitely playing this on repeat! You should purchase the full beat tape on iTunes and Listen on Spotify for free!
[BROOKLYN, NY] Making her debut on NikkiSiixx.com, VIIK brings us her latest visuals to PAPER/PAPER REMIX. The singer/songwriter/producer delivers a mix of electronic, hip-hop, dub reggae and even some trap elements. VIIK goals is to promote semi-conscious lyrics with beats to make you bounce. You definitely have to on this record!
According to VIIK: “Paper” is a satirical yet playful hip-hoppy reggae banger about the power of the “almighty dollar” and the grip it has on society. There’s so much chaos in the world yet we are all distracted by our daily quest for the cash. It keeps a lot of the population from becoming aware and finding their purpose. And on top of that as a human of color, racism and systematic oppression is still alive.
PAPER/PAPER REMIX brings us some funky psychedelic visuals. I really like VIIK goth/edm look with the hot pink dreads, pink eyebrows, and everything leather. Her voice in kind and delivers a powerful message. Its time to get that paper. Follow VIIK via her Twitter Account @VIIK_WORLD and get updated on new content!
[MIAMI, FLORIDA] After making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com with his music video DON’T TURN AROUND, GiZMO TAiLz brings us his first solo project MuGiWara EP.
If you’re not to familiar with what a Mugiwara is, it’s actually means Straw hat. GiZMO TAiLz is an artist, director, editor, producer, and engineer. He’s even 1/2 Member of The Creative Duo RASKLz [PIZZV.LORDz]. This is not just your regular thirteen track EP. It would be safe to say it’s more like a dark experiment with house/techno with a dash of some hip-hop. You can say it’s an unfound sound in today’s music. For my review I’m going to break down my favorite tracks off the MugiWara EP, which are MuGiWara Awaken, UV RAY, Take Control, Don’t Turn Around, 6GOLDZ, Su-Zen-B [Heal], and Voyage [Filler].
UV RAY // MuGiWara Awaken have a visual along side the tracks. The tracks are really an introduction to thus the style and vibe GiZMO TAiLz demonstrates. In the Music Film, GiZMO has a very unknown and strange power, and a love for pizza. The video is extremely trippy, but cool in a sense. Inspired by anime Video Games And Real Life Situations. The Young PIZZVLORD Looks For a quick “Slice” and what new Powers he’s Awaken Between The 2D And Real World. As Gizmo Falls Into A Tranced State, his visions are becoming powered. Now on a mission to create a New Wave. Did he really find a ForBidden Pizzv Crest? Directed and Edited by GiZMO himself, and Fimed Co. Directed By eqobKING.
TAKE CONTROL – The vibes on this one remind me of Kid Cudi’s Man on The Moon: The End of Day. “Let The Music Take Control” is repeated throughout the track with some melodies. In a sense it’s kinda like putting you in a trance.
This ain’t your ordinary music video, this visual definitely grabs the title for unique and dope graphics. GiZMO TAiLz is an inspiring artist that creates music in many different forms of hip-hop and can tap into alternative house genres. His visual DON’T TURN AROUND begins at the start of a retro fighting video game that eventually turns into a real life ninja, who is set to get The Pizzv Crest. GiZMO TAiLz transforms into Ninja Formation and Fights Dragoro. The visual also takes place at this years Florida Supercon 2k15. DON’T TURN AROUND is a music video like no other and definitely sounds like something new. Gamers can enjoy this visual too.
6GOLDZ – Considering GiZMO TAiLz self-produced the entire project, you can find some really catchy melodies. I found it on this track 6GOLDZ. Very simple, but when he starts rapping about his 6 gold teeth, it goes really well on beat.
Su-Zen-B [Heal] Even though this track is only instrumentals you can really dig this clubby vibe, GiZMO is trying to bring to the table. Another good instrumental is Voyage [Filler]. If I was an artist, I would be interested in seeing about working on getting production from GiZMO TAiLz.
This concludes my EP Review of MugiWara by GiZMO TAiLz. If you’re diggin’ the project you should definitely support the artist via Bandcamp. Be on the lookout for more content from GiZMO TAiLz by following him on his social media:

85 is a band that consists of members; Devin Arne – Guitar / Synth – Alex Weiss – Percussion – Mike Cejas – Bass – La Guardia – Vocals. They released their album The Dive this passed July (2012). The boys put hard work into this project and it definitely showcases it when you take the journey with 85.
Usually for my reviews I like to pick six tracks from the project and give my intake on them. But since The Dive is on another level, I had to review the entire project as a whole. Because the album is a story from start to finish. I love the fusion of hip-hop, soul music, and electronic funk that’s put into play.
BEST YOU CAN – Funky Pop beat and a good vibe over all. To me this track is fun and I had to jam along. This song makes me feel like I’m apart of a celebration. In the hook “I’m the best you can do….And you’re most likely probably the best that I can do too” is not the same case.
TAKE IT ALL – This track is when the person your with wants to end their relationship with you and they want it all back. Even if that includes your heart. At the beginning of the track you hear La Guardia and his girl get in an argument and she just had enough. He thinks it’s gonna be okay within a few days, but in reality it’s over. “I’m sinking, I admit it…it hurts…let’s mend this. You know what, no…you took it all, so just keep it all and let’s end this”
EVENT HORIZON – this :40 second skit gives me the chills. It’s a voice mail from a missed call received from your ex. A call that you wish you were able to receive. She’s letting you know.. she’s still tired and that she still…
FUNERAL – I love the slow introduction into the song. It’s mesmerizing, but yet so dark. Which fits perfectly with the title of the track. This track marks the beginning of the apocalypse. “Where everyday is a funeral“.
TRYING NOT TO DIE – “Don’t you want to forget? Don’t you want to black out? Let’s Dance Together & Figure It Out” the voice of his ex. It’s all about survival. Dealing with pressure and stress from the world you just trying not to die.
IM NOT ALIVE – Wow! This track has to be one of my favorites from The Dive. Even though you’ll living alone, your not alive because you’re not with that significant other that you need to be with. Something is missing. Going through a separation from a relationship that didn’t last, is a huge test. To show you what were your errors and giving you the time to see it through. You gotta learn the hard way. Making you feel like you’re not alive.
THE DIVE – Here it goes the final track on the album. It’s all or nothing. Nothing is going to stop La Guardia from trying to find out if she still here. Going to risk it all. Let’s fall into the abyss.
“I’m standing on the edge, hands full of sweat, plans in effect
I’m trying to be calm, but I can’t cause I’m vexed
I’m commanding my courage to cancel my nervous and handle what’s next
All hands on deck
I just wanna hear you breath
I just wanna know you’re alright
I never wanna see you leave
Just hold tight…”
I consider this to be one of the dopest albums I’ve heard so far this year. 85 gives you everything you need when it comes to feeling the music. From the diversity of sounds, instruments, and add-ons the music comes to life. You can get your own copy of The Dive when you purchase the album via BANDCAMP.
A cup of hip hop, a sprinkle of electrons, a dash of rock, a few pinches of soul and a light shake of anti-matter is what your ears can expect when listening to 85. -85

As electronic dance music, better known as EDM, is on the rise as a global phenomena. So is the fusion of trap music and such electronic music. These two California based brothers are Hippie Sabotage. VACANTS beat tape is their fourth release. This astoundingly perfect fusion of trap and electronic tones will definitely put you in a turnt up mood. Be prepared for big bass, crazy samples, and LOUD drums. One of my favorite audio clips is definitely Flavor Flav’s “Yeaaaaaahhh booooooooooiiiiiiii!”
There’s gotta be something in water in Florida. A really solid submission coming our way from Floridian producer Sleep City Crisis. The first volume in what’s sure to be a very good saga is titled The Akashic Records Vol. 1. This is something I’ve been really vibing heavy to.
Sleep City pushes the envelope with his electronic storytelling; borrowing and warping the influences from a variety of genre’s to create his unique brand of sound. This first offering in the saga has dark vibes throughout and draws inspiration from the occult and deep-seeded third eye visions. If you can get down with some experimental jawns, then I highly suggest giving this tape a listen. The Akashic Records Volume 1 is very well produced and evokes a range of emotions in the tuned-in listener. Follow the links, and don’t sleep on the Sleep City Crisis.
85 is a band that consists of three members. They are La Guardia on vocals, Devin Arne Composer/Musician, Alex Weiss on Percussion. Releasing their EP Eighty Five six months ago, I finally got around to reviewing it and I gotta say this is a great project. The EP gives you a feel like your watching 85 performing live in a small lounge setting.
My favorite tracks off the Eighty Five EP are HOVERBOARD, CLASSY, PURGATORY, and SEA INSIDE. The mash of genre’s is an amazing sound! From Hip-Hop, Rock, Alternative, and Electronic. Jamming to 85’s original production and vocals. For only having 7 tracks, this EP needs more! This is just a taste to whats to come from the group.
