[FLORIDA+ATLANTA] Making his return to NikkiSiixx.com, we have Rapper/R&B artist Teddy Harris. I consider him an R&B artist considering he has so much soul when it comes to his melodies. And with his second single STARR, off Teddy Harris’ upcoming debut project “Tell H.E.R. I Said…“. The song is dedicated to the ladies and really provides a groovy-fun vibe. Teddy Harris is descriptive about the one who caught his eye. Currently, we are waiting for the visual to his single! Expect it real soon and get the alert by following Teddy Harris on TWITTER and INSTAGRAM.
Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com, Chicago native Austin Fillmore brings us his latest EP Hear & Now. The eight track project has some gems and I feel that Austin Fillmore is making his mark. Austin Fillmore grew an intense passion for music and once he hit 7th grade he embarked on developing and mastering his skill of rap. Once as an adult he began collaborating with long time friends and producers 12 tone and Hank Iving, later he dropped his debut LP Anglishh back in February 2014. The following year he released his sophmore project Sinful Nature in September 2015. And we have this year with his EP Hear & Now.
I’ll be reviewing my favorite tracks off Austin Fillmore EP Hear & Now. So far I like Good Times, 5000, Matrix, Me You And Trouble, P.V.O, and Running Sh%t. Here’s what I thought about the EP:
[01. GOOD TIMES] You know when you hear a single and you know it’s a hit? Well, I instantly felt this way when I heard GOOD TIMES by Austin Fillmore. Perfect choice to start off the EP. Austin has a positive aspect on life and it reflects itself in his music. From a dope flow and a catchy hook this one has to be a fan favorite.
[02. 5000] This track here is definitely the club banger! With heavy bass brought to you by the amazing production by Snapbackondatrack. Austin maintains his realness with his wholesomeness. All Austin wants everyone to be okay, no matter what they do or say.
[04. MATRIX] Here’s where Austin Fillmore and featured artist Joey G puts the listening in a trance, somewhat like the Matrix. Very powerful sounds by producer Hank Iving. I think its pretty unique to have a slow down trap vibe with a dash of pop to it. Not sure if I’m describing it accurately but that’s what I get from this track.
[05. ME, YOU, AND TROUBLE] Austin provides hypnotic melodies over the seductive production by Jasper MacRae. I’m debating wether of not the track is my favorite off the Hear & Now EP. Track for the hopeless romantic. In a relationship it may seem you have the world against you, but it doesn’t matter cause you have each other.
[06. P.V.O (Positive Vibes Only)] According to Austin Fillmore it’s all about the positive vibes. His flow is on point with the production by NobilityIam. I really like this hook, “Nothing in this life is free, I do this for you and me, It’s all real no make believe, I’m the only thing you need”. Austin Fillmore provides the right vibe on his Hear & Now EP.
[08. Running Sh%t (Owl Wanted)] On the last track Fillmore decided to show his rough side. Super tough on his lyrics and tone in his flow. You can say Austin was really confident on this track. I can see this being played in a club or house party setting. Like Let’s Get Crunk!
“I’m finally speaking on all the things in life that have meaning and furthermore, sometimes painful to express. – Austin Fillmore
This concludes my review of Hear & Now EP brought to you by Austin Fillmore. The overall vibe of this project is meant to put you in a good mood wether your at the club or chilling with your friends, or even having an intimate moment with your girl. Hear & Now is meant for the night owls. If you’re diggin’ Austin Fillmore’s EP as much as I am, make sure you show your support by following him on all his social media outlets below! Stay Connected:
[CHICAGO, IL] After working over a year to finalize, That Man Santiago has recorded and mixed his latest project Nightlife Fifty-Five at Soundscape Studios. Embracing his environment, the inspiring upcoming artist from Chicago created an honest project on a person’s thoughts before and after hitting the night life in their city. The ambience of Nightlife Fifty-Five definitely provides those night vibes.
According to That Man Santiago “During the length of the tape I travel between thoughts of “turning up” and not worrying about the consequences, to thinking about the repercussions of my actions. The tape touches upon the idea that we are all filled with contradictions; however those contradictions are what help us learn and grow as people.” Now let’s take a chill pill and ride out with my review on That Man Santiago’s project Nightlife Fifty-Five. I’ll be discussing my favorites off the eleven track project. Which are:
[NIGHTLIFE] Where we start off with this track, if feels like you’ve been dancing at the club, already about 2:30am. The music sets a seductive vibe while That Man Santiago sets the mood for his club banger, while he’s talking to the girl he wants to take home.
[SNOW TRACKS] At the beginning of the track we get the weather news report that discuss the heavy snow that we’ll be arriving throughout the night, expected 10 feet of snow. Too cold to go outside and too much snow to deal with. That Man Santiago lets you know what he’s up to on this winter track.
[WHAT DO YOU KNOW] On this track That Man Santiago gets a bit rough when he finds out someone’s talking when they don’t know nothing about him. He’ll laugh it off at the beginning but if it persists he’s going to have to handle his.
[SOME DAYS] I feel that if you’re dealing with a relationship that you find yourself wanting to leave them, fix things, walk away, or stay forever. The emotions of trying to get yourself together and your significant other trying to do the same, but yet the balance may not be right. It’s either work things out or have it all come to an end, but will that day be today?
[OCARINA] At times it feels best to get with the past, with something that’s familiar. But according to time you just can’t. It’s all about moving forward and staying focus. But it seems to be That Man Santiago is getting distracted by Ocarina. I really felt as if she was real, so I had to ask and look what I found out:
NikkiSiixx: Who’s Ocarina?
That Man Santiago: Ocarina is more of a metaphore than a person. Its based of the game “Ocarina of Time” from Zelda lol. In the game, the Ocarina was a flute that could make a person travel through time. In the song, “Ocarina” stands for me wanting to go back in time and fix things I’ve done. But towards the end of the song, during the second verse, I realize that you can’t move forward when you’re chasing the past.
[REASON (BONUS)] This track actually surprised me considering the overall sound from the previous songs. Surprised me in a very good way. I like how diverse That Man Santiago demonstrates he’s styles and how melodic he can become. And what a romantic! This track is meant for the ladies. This would have to be my favorite track off the entire project.
This concludes my project review on Nightlife Fifty-Five with hip-hop artist That Man Santiago. The project exhibits feelings of emotions when it comes to some affairs that take place at night. It’s kinda like people get influence by the night life and dealing with those problems in the morning. I find the project to have a great story to tell and great listens.
Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com upcoming rapper/producer leunammE (lu•nah•may), was born and raise in Detroit. He brings us today his latest single 40 BE GOD. leunammE demonstrates heavy focus on his lyricism and is able to adapt catchy melodies over some really dope production. 40 BE GOD is the first single off of his first mixtape Alchemission. Considering leunammE makes his own beats he even plays the Keytar during live performances. Be on the look out for more content from leunammE and watch out for the visual for 40 BE GOD coming soon.
[LOS ANGELES] Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com, the upcoming Arizona native emcee/singer Chad Michael has released his EP Rain. The six track collection of songs portray a compelling story-line from a man pursing his dreams. During 2014-2015, Chad Michael went to college and moved to Southern California to make a career in music.
Going through the experiences he endured and lesson’s learned, Chad Michael wanted to express this on the Rain EP. All produced by Oregon Producer Emotion Beats. They were able to work together and really give the feel of rain fall, because of the records up and downs. Throughout the 25 minute journey, how can you not relate to Chad Michael. My favorite tracks of the Rain Ep are Evolution, Different, Weekend Love, and Rain. Here’s what I thought about my favorite tracks:
EVOLUTION is a track that shows off Chad Michael’s verbal capabilities! By showing us how fast and creative his lyricism can be. Considering this is the first track off the EP and the first song I hear from Chad Michael, this is definitely a great introduction. He lets the listener know the bullshit he’s been through and what he’s doing to prevail in his music career. Dope flow!
DIFFERENT is a track where Chad Michael expresses his time growing up in Arizona and making the big move to California. Retouching his roots Chad realizes things change and things will become different. Visual Directors Danny Gauthier and Chad M. Arechiga bring Chad Michael’s music video to his first single DIFFERENT.
WEEKEND LOVE here’s a track where Chad Michael becomes a hopeless romantic. When needing love you just have to take it slow or do what just feels right. But due to his career and the long distance, the commitment just doesn’t feel right. With what the entertainment industry is trying to show the artist, that the most important thing is getting money and fucking bitches. Messes with the mind, but not the heart.
RAIN I find this track to be very poetic with a heavy introspective perspective. With the simple production, it really makes you concentrate with what Chad Michael’s had to say. The twenty-four year old artist who has potential in making his mark in the hip-hop scene. RAIN also shows Chad’s melodic and soulful side to his music.
Chad uses ‘Rain’ as an opportunity to continue to explore and refine his burgeoning mixture of sounds. Whether crooning softly to an old flame or attempting to navigate the difficulty of societal pressures, the young artist’s intelligence, raw ability, and passion shine
With the beginning of the year underway, Chad Michael is expected to have collaborations with established artists and some new music videos as well! Be on the lookout for more content and take a listen to the Rain Ep.
[PENNSYLVANIA] Dubby is bringing that fuego 🔥 with his latest track PHAKE. A lot of lyrical content from Dubby of Team LoKo. He also maintains that super catchy melodies between his verses. Dubby dedicates PHAKE to all those phony little rap boys. According to Dubby “If you’re garbage, stop. You’re ruining it for the ones who really do this… sheesh“. PHAKE was produced by The TrendsetterZ. One thing I really like is Dubby’s capability to rap over any type of production. On the second verse he sounds like a completely different person, but it’s him. He’s able to switch his flow throughout the track. Be on the look out for more exclusives from Dubby!
