Enjoying a concert experience in Miami is one of the best ways to let loose and have fun with friends. Regardless of what type of music you enjoy or what your favorite venue is around town, there always seems to be something going on. With Miami Music Week coming up March 20 through the 25, there are even more events going on. Here are some of the upcoming events to consider adding to your itinerary when you want to enjoy live music!
This one night celebration packs a punch! Each year, Cuban culture is celebrated at this event put on my Miami Light Project. The Cuban composer and musician Dafnis Prieto will kick off the festivities. He is known for a unique jazz sound with infectious energy. With 10 critically acclaimed albums under his belt, he has to be doing something right.
There are multiple events happening through out the week, but one of the biggest happens to be Ultra Music Festival at Bayfront Park which runs for the entire duration. Rapture is another electronic music festival taking place at Historic Virginia Key Beach on the 22. Other notable events include Luciano at SLS South Beach on March 21 and Diplo at the same venue on March 23. Check out the Miami Music Week website for all of the details on the full impressive line up.
Reserving transportation for your Miami concert is the best way to ensure the night ends safely for everybody, especially if you happen to be drinking. With a limousine or party bus, it’s easy to get the group in one place to meet up. Plus, it’s just as affordable as a ride share when you split the overall cost with all of the concert goers. There’s a clear difference in the overall experience, though. Party buses specifically offer the room to stand up and socialize while you’re on the streets of Miami. Plus, they have hypnotic multi colored lighting like you find in the night clubs, and a sound systems with the ability to stream your favorite music. It’s clear how you’ll be able to benefit from a reservation the next time you want to enjoy nightlife in Miami. Head over to miamipartybus.com for more information!

Emeka even mentions in order for diamonds to become diamonds, they need to under massive amounts of pressure in order to shine bright. Take that as life advice, you gotta work hard under pressure and prevailing into what you want to be. LIKE A DIAMOND, is a very melodic track that gives you a bit of R&B vibes to it. Currently, Emeka is working on his third album which is set to release this year. If you’re diggin’ Emeka’s flow and vibe, make sure to follow him on all his links below:
POPOVA: FEMALE EMPOWERMENT OR RADICAL FEMINISM? POPOVA was written and created by Dre Torres and Alex Valdes, a New York / Miami based filmmaking duo best known for their feature-length documentary THE LAST TAINO. The book features stylish black & white artwork by Yasmin Liang (STAR TREK, STEED AND MRS. PEEL), and variant cover art by Amancay Nahuelpan (CLANDESTINO, YOUNG TERRORISTS).
After reading the first issue of the POPOVA, I can’t wait what’s in store with Scarlet Rose’s battle and will she be able to get away from the woman organization who targets male oppressors, that she used to be apart of?
It was a suspenseful read, the illustrators portrayed the story perfectly. The new comic book POPOVA is a revenge fantasy in the vein of Inglorious Bastards, explores the idea of reversing society’s gender stereotypes by depicting women in the role of the aggressor. Just goes to show woman can be badasses too! I don’t want to reveal too much of the story, but know it’s definitely worth it.
According to co-creator Dre Torres, “Historically, men have used violence to oppress women. The characters in our book simply decided to fight fire with fire. They don’t protest, they don’t campaign. They kill.”
[MIAMI, FL] For an artist who has been trying to perfect his craft, we have upcoming hip-hop artist RickyAtoms with his debut Music Video for his single RIDIN’ FOR A MINUTE. In collaboration with music producer Hard Dinero. The track focuses on RickyAtoms starting from the bottom and making his way up with his consistent progression. Improving his skills in music from producing beats and writing/recording his lyrics. Besides creating music, RickyAtoms also skateboards. The visual takes place at the Skatepark where we see Ricky skate and other skate enthusiast while the other location is at the studio working on the track with Hard Dinero. The RIDIN’ FOR A MINUTE visual really embodies the tracks concept. The single is catchy and puts you on a good vibe throughout. Stay tuned for more content by RickyAtoms.
[MIAMI, FLORIDA] Making his return to NikkiSiixx.com, we have Art Morera’s latest music video for his single TEN G’s. Art Morera embraces ‘Twelve AM’ which is not only his brand, but it’s a mentality, a statement. Be thankful for a new day, don’t wait until tomorrow to do what you gotta do because tomorrow isn’t promised, and don’t carry with you today the mistakes made in the past.
On his track TEN G’S, Art Morera expresses the first time he counted 10G’s and what it took to get there. At the end he decides to cut the bullshit and really focus on his goals. Art Morera is lyrical to the T, and embrace his journey with his latest track TEN G’S, over a beat he produced himself. Make sure you stay connected with Art Morera for the latest with his content by following him on his social media links below:
[MIAMI, FLORIDA] Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com we have hip-hop artist Jvck Frost with his latest single called HATE. Jvck Frost wanted to create this track, to show how he has become immune to the people who aren’t truly in his corner. Jvck Frost has used his hate and turned it into motivation. On this track it really feels Jvck Frost is opening up on this slow trap like production. I really like the overall ambience of HATE. What do you guys think about the track? Stay tuned for more content from Jvck Frost by following him on his social media:
[MIAMI,FLORIDA] Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com, we have alternative hip-hop artist FayBN with his single X GIRLFRIEND. Besides rapping, FayBN also sings. FayBN is a storyteller with his lyrics and his passion revealing his journey through life struggles. X GIRLFRIEND (up beat hip-hop allegory) is about past vices who still try to find a way back into his life like an obsessive, possessive ex. All she wants is your demise, would you be able to prevail and regain your freedom? FayBN is witty and shows it with the way he tells his story, you can visualize it.
I’ve actually seen FayBN perform this track live at Catalyst. This guy had so much power and complete control over the crowd. Everyone was dancing and singing along with FayBN. Overall great performer and great experience. If you’re diggin’ FayBN music make sure to follow him on his social media links below:
It’s that time of the year where 8and9 releases their Fall Collection. We take a closer look at them in their promo video for the line. “The collection is heavily inspired by competition, dethroning champions and taking it to the next level. Rocky IV meets ’84 Olympics. Russian imagery is prevalent and the styles are stronger than Ivan Drago.”
New goods from 8&9’s Fall 1 delivery are in stores and online now!
Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com, we have Miami artist Starve Marve with his latest single RAIN CLOUD. Starve Marve presents an ambience like no other. The way he speaks its spoken word from within. The song is a mix of Electronic and a bit of Boom Bap. Starve Marve flow is smooth and unique. RAIN CLOUD features Africa Kenyah and Scholar, the track was produced live on a drum machine. If you’re diggin’ Starve Marve’s vibe then you gotta support and let him know! Last year when the official trailer release for an app that will allow you to capture Pokémon in the real world called, Pokémon Go. I released an article regarding the possibility the app will be overshooting it’s capabilities. What I should of focused on was the real capability of this app’s full potential on impacting the world.
If you’re playing Pokémon Go you know exactly what I’m talking about. This app hits right in the heart of a 90’s kid. The nostalgia this game created by bringing back the original 150 Pokémon search is a great moment. Bringing gamers who would usually stay inside the majority of their days are now walking miles in search and the ability to say you caught them all. Uniting people who would of never talked in the first place to long chats about Pokémon, where they found their rarest ones, and just funny stories or sharing memes. Also allowing people to conquer social anxieties when talking to new people and now being able to communicate face to face instead online in a chat room.
But sometimes there are downsides to great things, where there’s light there will always be darkness. People have been using this to lure people in traps getting robbed at Pokéstops. So it’s really about not going at 2AM in an area you’ve never been before. Because you’re only looking for trouble. Explore the world during the day AND REALLY BE AWARE OF YOURE SOUNDINGS AND DONT BE OBNOXIOUS TO OTHERS WHILE SEARCHING FOR POKéMON. SUCH AS LIKE ENTERING PRIVATE PROPERTY, AND STOPING YOUR CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC RISKING AN ACCIDENT.
Back to the good news, after about three weeks of a majority of the world playing this app Nintendo doubles in it’s Nintendo Stock. Increasing the value and impact the app has acquired. As we wait patiently for weekly updates, we can’t wait for the chance to start trading Pokémon with other Pokémon Trainers. But in the mist of it all, I’ve met a bunch of people who have the same love for Pokémon as I. Last weekend, I attended a #PokéWalkMiami and for about 3-4 hours a bunch of us went on a search for Pokémon. Setting up lures and owning Wynwood! Shoutout to @NormaNow & @See_Fig!

[MIAMI, FLORIDA] Art Morera brings us his latest visual to his freestyle mix of 3 Curren$y songs entitled COVERT LOOP$. Listen to Art’s takes on Curren$y’s songs off of his project “Covert Coup” produced by The Alchemist. The video was filmed by Kimber Vasquez, Art Morera, and NikkiSiixx (yeah and I made a few cameos in the vid too). I love all the visuals that were added into the video that really brought Art Morera’s lyrics to life. B-Roll footage that captured Miami and San Francisco/Oakland scenes. Art’s flow can really adapt to different sounding beats. Be on the lookout for more content from Art Morera by following his social media links
Here’s a new segment over here on my youtube channel. Where I film my reaction to hearing a new track or watching a music video from an indie artist. On our second episode of Nikki Hears It First, I’m watching South Florida Artist Ivy with his visual to IDK. Produced by Mac Bassick. Take a look at what I thought about “IDK” and I would love to hear what you guys think about the track/visual! I would also like to add the song has a cool, calm, collect feeling to it I forgot to mention that in the video.
