After releasing his first concept EP titled Abundance. Samuel Belman focuses on perfecting his craft and enlightens the listener with his drive for self-development. On YOU WAS RIGHT (REMIX) Samuel needed to actually try to rap slow to fit the beat. What really makes Samuel Belman happy is being able to create music. He’s point of the view of the song reflects that. With work they focus on you to work hard, instead of just finding a piece of happiness. The track was mixed and mastered by Chase Y’s. What do you guys think about Samuel Belman’s take on Lil Uzi Vert YOU WAS RIGHT?
21 year old producer Anson was inspired by Mike Posner and he’s own remix and brought us I TOOK A PILL IN IBZIA. As soon as Anson heard @conormaynard cover to this, he knew he needed to add some tropical vibes to it. I’ve heard this track over and over, probably about 15 times. And I really like the vibes and the overall production is effortless. Shout out to Anson for this dope remix and his love for making software and eating bagels. Make sure you follow Anson on his Twitter Account @AnsonLongSeabra!

KJ Hines recently dropped this remix of a track that’s been everywhere lately. Sweet Talk, originally produced by Kito and Reijja Lee, has been used by Trinidad James on his Don’t Be S.A.F.E. mixtape and now by up and comer KJ Hines. Mr. Hines, who’s been invited to play at SXSW this year, is all about the dub infusion into his hip hop. He’s very high energy on all his tracks and is pushing the progression and development of a genre.
KJ spits well on this one, his voice is nice over the Sweet Talk track. The flow is polished and smooth, you can tell he crafted his verses to play to the remix. It’s nice to hear something new coming out of the hip hop scene. Honestly, KJ deserves his spot at SXSW and is creating waves on his rise. I’m definitely interested to see where he goes from here. It would seem that the world is his oyster to open.
Just got through watching Chicago’s artist, Neak, in his latest video off the “Love Greater – The Prequel” mixtape (which he debuted on June 22, 2012.) Neak’s track produced by Slot-A, “Celebration of Life’s ILLZ” (Slot Body Bags Remix featuring GLC and Lungz,) had creative director Aaron Perkins Jr (APJ Films) behind the making of it’s video. The chemistry amongst these lyricist, helped put together a laid back kind of vibe; making this video one to just sit back to, and fully grasp their tribute to life’s ups and downs.
