New Music: Ron Slyda – Going Hard

Check out the latest track from Miami’s own Ron Slyda with GOIND HARD. If you’re not too familiar with Ron Slyda, let me get you familiar!! He is filled with Southern Soul which is portrayed through he’s music especially with his Album BLUE SUMMER: Recollections of a Poetic Drunk. Which has been recently remastered by Valhalla Entertainment which you can get via iTunes. Besides the soul he also brings in the trap! With lyrics expressing drug raids, low self-esteem, and prevailing at the end. Insane production brought to you by George Seals. Feeling Ron Slyda? Don’t forget to follow him on social media to get all the latest: TWITTERINSTAGRAMYOUTUBE

Music Video: Ron Slyda – Moving On

movingonCheck out the latest visual from Miami artist Ron Slyda with MOVING ON. What a great music video! You catch a real life situation such as Ron taking care of his kids. The video takes place on Slyda’s block. The track expresses Ron’s feelings towards losing his close loved ones. Knowing how difficult it is dealing with it and trying to move on. From struggling with doing things you’re really not supposed to be doing, but doing it with good intentions. By making money and using it to help pay for food to feed his family. The song not only discusses losing someone but also making changes from negative to positive. @YOUNGWILDPANDA. Captured the moments perfectly, @YOUNGWILDPANDA. If you’re digging the track as I am you have to check it out on Ron Slyda’s BLUE SUMMER: Recollections of a Poetic Drunk. Ron is currently working on his next project titled, ‘Ruthless‘ set for release this fall.

Visual: Art Morera – 12:01 EP – Production By iLLMurray

What a way to illustrate an EP with a short candid film following a night in Art Morera’s life. By bringing us his EP 12:01. The thirteen minute visual takes you along with Art on a night to escape from reality. Playing out the five tracks from the EP. (TwentyFour) From hanging out with his friends in Coconut Grove to (Welcome Mat) daydreaming finding a bag of cash on his welcome mat, (Volume) then heading out to a hip-hop show. Then unwind at a lobby with beautiful b-roll of fish in an aquarium (Drown), and bringing a rose to his girl back home (Don’t Come Home).

Sick Production from iLLMurray (Mr.Nixon & Mydus) and what a great eye with direction from Kimber Vasquez behind the lens. Can’t wait for the EP’s official release on iTunes.

12:01 is a great listen! It’s hard to pick your ultimate favorite track, since all of the songs are unique, dope, brings a great vibe, and its different. iLLMurray brings out the best of Art Morera’s wordplay and confidence. From my favorite track to a little less favorite track will be Volume, Drown, TwentyFour, Don’t Come Home, and Welcome Mat. This order is still not right! Very hard to choose. Better yet why don’t you take a listen to Art Morera’s visual EP and don’t forget to HASHTAG #1200AM A THOUSAND TIMES!

Album Review: Ron Slyda – Blue Summer Recollections of a Poetic Drunk

BS_RonSlyda_ BANNER

NikkiSiixx.com Presents to you an exclusive review of Ron Slyda’s highly anticipated album BLUE SUMMER Recollection of a Poetic Drunk, before it’s release this Tuesday, November 19th. I’ll be reviewing the fifteen track album. Picking my favorite six tracks to review. What a journey! Ron Slyda has taken me through this session. Recollections of a Poetic Drunk is the point of view this tape explores.
BS_RonSlyda_FinalCover2BLUE SUMMER: Is an amazing track to get things started. With sultry harmonies and a fun ass beat by Trackology. The vibe definitely portrays a summertime vibe. The one thing I really like about Ron Slyda, is his realness with his lyrics. You understand where he comes from. You can relate to his struggle and can’t help but root for him to succeed. Dealing with haters and people who are not willing to network, Ron has to keep working hard towards his dreams. “Blue Summers Got Me Dreaming, Please Don’t Wake A N*gga Up, Living Life dew and leather, The Future In My Cup” Slyda wants us to live for the day.

FOCUS: Previously featured on NikkiSiixx.com. FOCUS is the latest track from Miami local artist Ron Slyda. This track is a preview to what Ron has in store for us with his upcoming project #BlueSummer: Recollections of a Poetic Drunk. Production from Jay B. Ron Slyda’s vibe is laid back, filled with soul, and you definitely get a southern feel to it. You feel that same vibe when he performs too!

“FOCUS” title suits well with the concept of the track. Since Ron Slyda is trying to prevail from temptations that maybe good at the moment but once you take a second look it only caused you harm in someway or another. Dealing with being criticize from bloggers, and women dilemma’s. I also feel that since they added that Chopped & Screwed Voice effect at the end, it’s calling Ron and letting him know Don’t Let It Stop You.
“Keep My Mind On Money, Money On My Mind! Keep My Finga On The Trigger, N*gga Hand On My Nine”

FH/GM: You can feel that Ron Slyda cares about his listeners. By giving them positive advice and staying humble. Even though against the whole fucking hoes line, but damn it’s so catchy! “Fucking Hoes & Getting Money” on repeat! Slyda’s presence on the track goes strong. Staying on beat and creating a chill vibe. Dope track.

COME ON: Previously featured on NikkiSiixx.com – Check out the latest from Florida’s own Ron Slyda with his music video COME ON. Debuting song off his upcoming project BLUE SUMMER: Recollections Of A Poetic Drunk. I’m really diggin’ this video! Ron SLyda is chilling in his neighborhood with his boys. The concept of the video was portrayed through “The persuasion & deception Ron faces in his day to day life through stop motion photography and video”. Dealing with crooked cops, gold diggers and crackheads.
Screen Shot 2013-11-17 at 8.27.07 PM
Video was produced by Young Wild Panda. If you’re not to familiar with this amazing producer.. you should see his other videos. Also, Young Wild Panda was the winner of our CONTEST: So You Think You Can Make Music Videos? Ron Slyda x S.M.G x 8and9 x NikkiSiixx.

The tale of a man on the verge of becoming everything he wants to be. His inner turmoil and demons pushing him relentlessly to be a man of no mercy. His loved ones urging him to grow into the beacon of hope they all need. A Poet by definition is someone who writes with beauty and grace. Slyda effortlessly spins tales of violence, promiscuity, intoxication, depression, lost, and love into poetic melodic rap verses with lyrics that entertain as well as intrigue…

MOVING ON: Ron Slyda expresses himself with losing close loved ones. Knowing how difficult it is dealing with it and trying to move on. From struggling with doing things you’re really not supposed to be doing, but doing it with good intentions. By making money and using it to help pay for food to feed his family. The song not only discusses losing someone but also making changes from negative to positive.

MERCY: Amazing production by MindLabs. What a beautiful sound in the far background, sounds like a symphony with soft violins and piano. The concept of the track is a conversation between Ron and his future child. Giving him advice of how to be strong and be smart and walk away. Learning right from wrong. The worst could happen from him growing up with the wrong people or die from a disease. At the end of the track you hear OG Bobby Johnson from South Central say “I told a man in prison, I would save my son’s life, even if it took my life. I’m willing to die here today Ray. For my boy, because I love him that much. Do you love him? All I want is to give him something you or I never had….”

OUTRO: The outro is dedicated to the true supporters of Ron Slyda from all over. Love all the love shown to Ron and his movement. Wish you nothing but the best. This concludes my album review of Ron Slyda’s BLUE SUMMER Recollections of a Poetic Drunk. Enjoy this amazing project and get it now.

Interview: Young Wild Panda Productions

5287077_orig
NikkiSiixx.com participated in CONTEST: So You Think You Can Make Music Videos? Ron Slyda x S.M.G x 8and9 x NikkiSiixx and Young Wild Panda won!! Young Wild Panda was able to shoot a video for Hip-Hop Artist Ron Slyda. They shot the video for COME ONE. Young Wild Panda won fear gear from 8and9 Clothing and this exclusive interview with NikkiSiixx.com. So let’s get this started:

2b995fd561abb7570dc50310cadbd0261. How did you get into videography? – As a Panda cub, I have always felt the need to create. It all started way back in high school when I first started exploring the arts. I fell victim to a destructive graffiti career & decided to try other artistic outlets. I tried painting, skating and even rapping – it worked but I didn’t feel the passion for it. So about a year ago I began shooting, after I reunited with a close friend Julian Yuri, who’s a director as well. He taught me the ropes & the rest is history.

2. Where do you get your inspirations from? – Honestly each scenario is unique. Every video I shoot I listen to the song over and over and over and over, until I’ve not only mesmerized it but derived creative ideas and concepts for the video. I usually present a few options to the artist and we then go from there. If you haven’t seen my videos yet, each video is unique in its own form. Ron Slydas “Come On” has a more ratchet deep Miami poetic third eye Illuminati swag; I used Ron’s lyrics to come up with a subtle subliminal story line, with local performance shots. What makes this video unique is that I shot half of it in Full 1080 video, and the other half (when the beat flips) I shot it with stop motion photography. Enough explain just check it out!

3. What did you think of the song Ron SLYDA provided for the music video you shot? – FOCUS is an amazing track. We had good creative momentum but due to uncontrollable circumstances we couldn’t shoot the video. So we decided to shoot Come On. To be honest i liked the song better, my chakra was in full effect while listening to it.

4. Were you able to have full Creativity on the project? – For the most part yes, Ron & I chilled a lot before the shoot; My buddy (who plays the cop role in the video) @ObiKusheKenobi joined us in these meetings which included but weren’t limited to; plotting, drinking, brainstorming, drinking, laughing, drinking, building, drinking, finalizing, drinking, executing and yes.. you guessed it, drinking. LOL He’s not called the Poetic Drunk for being sober ya dig???

5. How was it working for Ron SLYDA? Would you work with him again in the near future? – It was quite an exprience, Ron is a funny, creative, wild but humble dude. We work fluently together and for the most part have the same intention. CRAFT | DOPE SHIT. We are working together and have some dope shit planned for the future. Ron put myself and my mentee @LukeTaleno into SMG, and we are currently in the brainstorming, drinking, etc phase for his next video. LOL

6. What other projects are you currently working on? – Since Ron Slydas video, I dropped about 4 videos. You can find them on Youtube; But this month im wrapping up Minnesota’s; DeSean P’s- Touch Your Soul. Also, just finished shooting my mentees @LukeTaleno next music video, Day Of The Dead. A lot of good stuff coming your way!

7. Any Last words

First and foremost I wanna say thank you for anyone who takes the time to read this. I want to give a special shout to Nikki Siixx for not only supporting me, but building a foundation for underground artists in Miami to strive on. I also want to give my team a shout out; Julian Yuri, ObiKushKenobi, Sophibomb, Luke Taleno, Ron Slyda, Kemz83, Ali, TMED, Mari Pintado, Roc Sol, BSC, SMG!

SMG

Check out the first single WE BE LOW from South Florida Artist Ron Slyda, for his upcoming collectors album “Strictly For My Slydaz”. While we wait for Ron Slyda’s release for BLUE SUMMER – Recollections of a Poetic Drunk. Slyda is dropping gems with these projects. WE BE LOW, provides us with a more crunk/melodic vibe. Nice change to the tempo, ride out and press play. While Slyda states Miami night life, working hard to get what’s his. Ron Slyda’s style and presence on this track, really fits well. Can’t wait for BLUE SUMMER to drop.

Check out the latest single from Miami’s own artist Ron Slyda debuting COME ON. Coming from his unreleased album Blue Summer:Recollections Of A Poetic Drunk which is set to release this year! COME ON is on that swagsense. I always feel southern hospitality from Ron’s real-life verses and flow. The beat was sampled off S.O.S bands classic ‘tell me’.

Ron Slyda is a really dope artist! Considering his continuous support from bloggers like Kevinnottingham, iblog126, 2dopebitches, the305 and myself NikkiSiixx. On 02/17/13 Ron Slyda will be performing at The Goose Lounge for #iScreamSundays. You don’t want to miss this!

Music Video: DzTheRapper – Favors Featuring Ron Slyda

Check out the latest music video from DZTheRapper and Ron Slyda on their collaboration on FAVORS. The video shows crisp visuals from both underground artists at Bayside in Downtown Miami. One thing I really like about FAVORS is the beat and the mellow southern vibe they give off when they are reciting their verses.

FAVORS is about not needing anything but their style and music to make it in the game and how they are not willing to play ‘Favors’ for anybody

New Music: Ron Slyda – Focus

FOCUS is the latest track from Miami local artist Ron Slyda. This track is a preview to what Ron has in store for us with his upcoming project #BlueSummer: Recollections of a Poetic Drunk. Production from Jay B. Ron Slyda’s vibe is laid back, filled with soul, and you definently get a southern feel to it. You feel that same vibe when he performs too!

FOCUS title suits well with the concept of the track. Since Ron Slyda is trying to prevail from temptations that maybe good at the moment but once you take a second look it only caused you harm in someway or another. Dealing with being critize from bloggers, and women dilema’s. I also feel that since they added that Chopped & Screwed Voice effect at the end, it’s calling Ron and letting him know Don’t Let It Stop You.

“Keep My Mind On Money, Money On My Mind! Keep My Finga On The Trigger, N***a Hand On My Nine”
