Making his return on NikkiSiixx.com we have South Florida artist, 6 Cardinal. This time he brings us his latest album entitled FLOURISH. 6 Cardinal is not your ordinary artist, he also makes original beats and writes his own lyrics. During the creation of FLOURISH 6 Cardinal flew from South Florida to Brooklyn for a few days with hopes to capture New York City’s ambience and his creative chemistry with Ace in one collection of songs created from scratch. And after the first listen of FLOURISH you can definitely feel 6’s inspiration.
FLOURISH represents 6 Cardinal’s journey back to his musical roots. On the production side, FLOURISH forgoes the electronic-influenced production heard in his recent output in favor of the soulful and sample-heavy brand of production marking his earlier projects, which is provided by 6’s longtime friend, collaborator, and Brooklyn-based boom-bap maestro Ace Fayce.
For my review, I’ll be breaking down my favorite tracks. FLOURISH has a total of eight tracks. The ones that really stood out to me are The Name pt. IV, Ring The Alarm, Nine2Five, Royals, LuvJawn, and Outro. So let’s get this review underway.
[THE NAME PT. IV] Starting it out with straight BARS! 6 Cardinal keeps he’s lyrical content fresh! 6 stays on beat and really emphasizes old school hip-hop with his choice in production. Even though the track is only 2:32, it leaves the listener wanting more.
[RING THE ALARM] Word is bond! 6 Cardinal paints a vivid picture with his lyrics, line after line. You gotta nod your head to this one. One line that caught my attention was “Sicker than the flu, Ah-chu! You infected now“.
[NINE2FIVE] This is one of my favorite tracks off the album. How can you not relate? Working that 9 to 5 that drains you from what you really want to do. Its like you’re falling down a bottomless pit that same thing over and over, which sounds extremely exhausting. The production on this track is overall so beautiful. Very delicate, but still has the elements of a hip-hop track.
[ROYALS] I find 6 Cardinal fits perfectly with old-school hip-hop production. He sounds on point and his flow is too. The subject of this track is drug use. And what a perfect display of it with his first music video from FLOURISH. The visual artwork and art direction was created by Sean Walton. Love the visual really puts you on a psychedelic trip. But I do have to say I feel this track was a bit short, so gives us more 6 Cardinal!
[LUVJAWN] 6 Cardinal opens up and talks about LOVE. He talks about all the little moments that he truly cherishes. He even touches base on some intimate moments as well. His hook was inspired by Lil Kim and Notorious B.I.G – Crush On You. But made it his own.
[OUTRO] The overall feeling on this track is so positive. From the production and 6 Cardinal realness, this track kinda gives me those summer time vibes. I really like the auto-tuned chipmunk voice for the hook. “Keep the mind so open“. Great way to end the project.
“Flourish in immortal youth, Unhurt amidst the wars of elements, The wrecks of matter, and the crush of worlds.” – Joseph Addison
This concludes my review on 6 Cardinal’s FLOURISH Album. Overall the project was a great listen. 6 Cardinal really embodies the roots of hip-hop with his stellar performance on FLOURISH. If you’re diggin’ the project as much as I am. Make sure to let 6 Cardinal know! Show your support by following him on all his social media links below:

On our second episode of Nikki Hears It First, I’m watching South Florida Artist Ivy with his visual to IDK. Produced by Mac Bassick. Take a look at what I thought about “IDK” and I would love to hear what you guys think about the track/visual! This young entrepreneur was voted Miami’s Top Fashion Blog by the New Times and has been featured in glossies such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, The New York Times, Life, Refinery 29 and more. She was the first blogger in Miami to score a major campaign with fashion brand Coach where she produced and starred in a 1 minute commercial for them. Savvy and creative, Vazquez has gone on to work for several other brands as a spokesperson, model and consultant. [MIAMI, FLORIDA] A poet expressing himself through his music, RealProperLike exhibits his five track EP signs as a form of creativity inspired by the South Florida community. With signs in was created by the spirit of Art Basel 2015. According to RealProperLike “The concept of “signs” is to creatively express a journey of thoughts ranging from acceptance, dropping jewels, art, life, and love as only I can paint it”. I’ll be reviewing my favorite tracks off RealProperLike’s signs EP and what is his lyrical art exhibit trying to display.
INFORMATION – RealProperLike is a philosopher and goes in-depth with information he wants to provide you. He even talks about being more grateful to everything in your life. And even sneaks in a history lesson in there. The way RealProperLike breaks it down you can image it in your mind. Very descriptive just like a story teller.
ART – One thing I really like about this track is the theatrical flow RealProperLike has when he’s reciting his lyrics. The Beat is dope as hell, it was executive produced by realproperlike, custom made @custom60625, serious beats @seriousbeats, and by the audio genius [kr]ypton @mrbandason. Recorded, mixed, and mastered at @fsstudiomiami/ @kingpinstation. This has to be my favorite track off the signs EP.
SLAVE – You gotta bob your head to this one. RealProperLike expresses the struggles of Black Lives Matter. When the beat drops it really makes your concentrate on his poetic flows. Embracing his roots and feeling liberated that him and his people are strong and they are no one’s property.
Who am I? A different type of thinker, a big kid with an old soul”. – RealProperLike
Signs is a proper prelude to further creativity, critique, and conversation as any art exhibit should provide. RealProperLike paints the picture, can you see it? Be on the lookout for more content from RealProperLike by following him on social media:
We will be meeting at Burger Beast World Headquarters! There will be yummies to eat; exactly what yummies is a surprise and only Burger Beast knows.
[SOUTH FLORIDA] SIN is back at it with his latest single LOOK WHAT I DID featuring LEGAXY. After the success of his Dark Waters EP where he created eight tracks. The producers who were involved were able to grasp that overall dark undertone that SIN needed to express making a triumph over his bully.
Producers who were apart of his project were Rojas On The Beat, Nick Leon, Scottzilla, Nuez, The Pyrvmids, Anthology, and Dark Night. This time around he has producer Hooligan taking over. The track reminds me of a 90’s R&B / hip-hop track. The R&B vibes comes from Legaxy’s smooth hook with fresh vocals. SIN provides vivid raps that gives us a look into his life with LOOK WHAT I DID and how he feels about the music scene. Be on the lookout for more content from SIN by following all his social media links below.
Supporters will have the opportunity to meet and chop it up with ER, network with taste makers in South Florida’s entertainment scene, and check out the latest clothing from 8and9. Beverages will be provided in the showroom and food will be provided by Tyty’s Kitchen food truck.

[MIRAMAR, FL] Webbz presents his latest single DO IT THE BEST featuring dope production by Will Notes. DO IT THE BEST is the track for the ones who do it for themselves. Working hard, Making Money, and building their brand. In the second verse Webbz expresses to the woman who is Instagram famous to not let it get to her head, getting all this attention online. WHATEVER YOUR DOING BABY JUST DO IT THE BEST. This track is set to be on Webbz upcoming project Transporter. Be on the look out!
[SOUTH FLORIDA] This just in, SIN released the first visual off of his Dark Waters EP. First music video is the DARK WATERS INTERLUDE. The visual was impressive for only being less than 2 minutes. It’s just SIN walking in an alley way, but the way it was shot made it so dramatic. With the focusing in and out. Leaving SIN blurry. It looked like SIN was walking behind a car while it was driving off. But I feel with SIN’s words made them come back when he stopped chasing them. The video was directed by CA$TRO, in which he provided the overall dark overtone that’s in the production brought to you by NUEZ. Take a look at what I thought about the The Dark Waters EP. I wonder if one of my favorite tracks is going to be selected to be his new music video release. My choices were 100MPH, Tiffany / Kiss The Ring, Shakedown, 16jabs, For The Homies, Vibe and Fork In The Road. [LINKS] TWITTER || INSTAGRAM || SOUNDCLOUD || WEBSITE
[ORLANDO, FLORIDA] Even though Platini was born and raised in Broward County, he’ll still reps his hometown with pride. Hip-Hop Artist Platini decides to take Erykah Badu’s ON AND ON with his own freestyle. Platini expresses his optimistic take on his life after all his struggles. He’s able to see the light and get things done. Don’t forget to press play and listen in on ON AND ON Freestyle by Platini. [LINKS] TWITTER || INSTAGRAM ||
[SOUTH FLORIDA] After releasing his track Tiffany / Kiss The Ring, SIN has been getting nothing but love from NikkiSiixx readers. This track definitely built anticipation for SIN’s upcoming Dark Waters EP. Premiering exclusively through DJ.Booth.net. My favorite tracks off Dark Waters is 100MPH, Tiffany / Kiss The Ring, Shakedown, 16jabs, For The Homies, Vibe and Fork In The Road. Basically, the whole project is a favorite.
“I wanted to fully capture the organic hip-hop feel and blend it with my own sound. [The EP] has a dark undertone, but the presence of a giant bully.” -SIN
The project rides through eight tracks. The producers who were involved were able to grasp that overall dark undertone that SIN needed to express making a triumph over his bully. Producers were: Rojas On The Beat, Nick Leon, Scottzilla, Nuez, The Pyrvmids, Anthology, and Dark Night. SIN only had one feature and that was with REKS on the Shakedown track. Dope collaboration between the two.

It’s been a minute since we last heard from South Florida Artist SIN but we’re happy to say he’s return from his hiatus justifies what he brings us with his latest track TIFFANY / KISS THE RING. Premiering the track via AshleyOutrageous.com, SIN has been receiving nothing but love on this track. It’s pretty dope considering the single is like two tracks, even though the track was composed by Nick Léon. SIN flow and attitude are different in both. Really in your face and it’s hard not to look away. TIFFANY / KISS THE RING is a track set to be on SIN’s upcoming EP Dark Waters.
