C.I.T.Y. (Creative, Intelligent, Talented, Young-Mind) presents a visual for his latest offering “Monv Lisv”. The record has C.I.T.Y delivering solid bars with his southern tone, explaining his vision and appreciating the beauty of it. The director (Kojo Films) uses the street of New York City as a back drop for C.I.T.Y to paint his picture. Adding to the track is New York’s own promising artist Dave East, who has risen to the top of the local music scene and appears to be destined for stardom under the tutelage of NAS. Be sure to follow both artist as they continue to release quality music.
This song made my ears rise as soon as the beat dropped. Representing Seattle, The Flavr Blue has been working hard on they’re highly anticipated EP titled The Love Notes and has recruited Jarell Perry, to bless your earlobes with their smooth rhythmic single “Oxygen”. The group is led by singer Hollis Wong-Wear, whose voice graced the Billboard Top 20 hit “White Walls” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. With him are a talented pair of singers/producers Lace Cadence and Parker Joe, each with a litany of Seattle hip hop and R&B releases under their belts. The eclectic sound is nothing new for the rising group, as they started recording like most independent artist do, in a tiny bedroom. Their sound is universal and has translated to wild live shows with fans as diverse as the sound that brings them all together. Make sure to follow this dope group as they get ready to blow up with the release of The Love Notes and a nationwide tour for 2016.
[PHILADELPHIA] This is not your regular type of FADED video, with a bunch of drug use and getting completely intoxicated. With this talented female rapper Joie Kathos she targets how our culture is fading. With the non-stop racism we’ve been dealing with in our judicial system regarding police brutality on the rise. FADED is the official visual off of Joie Kathos EP Floaters. I love how the video demonstrates the domino effect in their story telling. The main character decided to take measures into his own hands, and decides to rob a restaurant. Two of his friends witness this, but one decided to leave before it got worse, and the other one stayed by his friend’s side. FADED was directed by Glass Canon, produced by Outlaw, and sampled from the hit EDM single by Zhu. This video should be an eye opener to everyone. From the rising number of deaths of unarmed teens. We need to all WAKE UP, and stand up for what we believe is right. All Lives Matter.
[WOODBRIDGE, VA] Newly Released Single SUPER NIA is from upcoming female rapper/singer Nia Dinero. Bringing us a style of uniqueness, cunning, and clever at what she does best, and that is RAP. SUPER NIA can be considered under a new genre of Hip-Pop. Nia Dinero hopes to inspire her audiences with her unprecedented flow compared to the interest of those who take to the seamless blends of rapping and singing. Her sound is a combination of Fergie, TLC, Missy Elliot, and Nicki Minjai. Nia Dinero also released a visual to this track view on VEVO Now. I think she’s pretty dope, can’t wait to hear future releases.
“When people hear me I want them to hear an artist, whether I rap or they hear me vocally, I want them to hear music.” -Nia Dinero
