[LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA] Making his return to NikkiSiixx.com we have hip-hop socialist Madison Castle with his project titled B.O.A.T.S. Madison Castle was born and raised in Abingdon Virginia. Seeing the bigger picture and his love for creating music he had to make the epic sacrifice and head west to follow his dreams in making it. Currently living in Los Angeles, Madison Castle stays working. With his 5 track project B.O.A.T.S., I’ve decided to take a closer listen and here’s my review.
[ROLL IT UP] What a great track to start the project off. I feel the chemistry between Madison Castle and Jayson Mitchell. From Madison’s witty lyrics and Jayson’s vocals this is the track you want to press repeat too! Especially lighting one up and vibing out to this. Really like the choice in production and this track is one of my favorites of the project. Madison Castle also released a music video for his first single from B.O.A.T.S. I actually had him featured on my [Nikki Hears It First] Series for Episode 12. Let’s see what I thought about his ROLL IT UP video.
[LOUDMILK] By the second track you can tell Madison Castle has a talent with diversity with his tracks. Even though the production is slow, his flow is fast. Madison sounds amazing on this track. The female vocals on this track really gives a trance like essence.
[EL DORADO] Here comes the club mix! I can see everyone dancing to this one. Madison Castle has his eye on girl on the dance floor. He emphasizes all the things he sees what they can do together, like enjoying life with her and all the unlimited possibilities.
[GHOST] If you’re dealing with heartbreak and not over that significant other that has moved on, this is the track for you. And you know damn well she’s not over you so you feel like you’re the ghost that haunts her. The overall production, vibe, and flow of this track is remarkable. This song has been on repeat for me for a while now.
This concludes my review on Madison Castle’s B.O.A.T.S. For the 5 track project I found 4 of the tracks to be my favorites that really stand out to me. Be on the lookout for more content from Madison Castle. And make sure you follow him on all his social media links below!

By working hard and establishing a level of Big Leagues. Lew Sid presents a diverse lyrical style and B.A.S.I.C complements the single. BIG LEAGUES hard hitting track was produced by Beatscraze. We got a new episode of Nikki Hears It First! Where I film my reaction to hearing a new track or watching a music video from an indie artist. This time on my fourth episode, I’m watching Hip-Hop Artist TruthCity with his visual to “Changes”. [VIRGINIA-MINNESOTA] Making his debut on NikkiSiixx.com, Lenerd presents us with his latest music video CHASING CLOUDS. When growing up, Lenerd lived in a house with low income and only strived to be ambitious with life. Listening to heavy metal and rock constantly he found a route through hip-hop to truly express himself. In college he would freestyle in cyphers before and after class. After getting locked up for three months for drug distribution he wanted to start putting his story on paper.
CHASING CLOUDS is the first single from Lenerd’s recent album Pictures for the Blind, You can tell Lenerd gets extremely personal on the record, in which he reflects on his past. In the visual you can see Lenerd is having troubles going to sleep, it seems like his mind wants to make moves even when he feels tired. The hook is extremely catchy and the video is trippy.
Lenerd just got off his first country-wide tour with Cam Meekins, and is now back in the studio working on his third album Happiness is Broke. With all the newly-gained fans Lenerd is about to drop his new single off the album She Feel in Love with a Stoner, featuring Mod Sun and Cam Meekins. The album is expected to drop SUMMER 2016. [LAS VEGAS] Hip-Hop Artist Elquan goes in on his latest single FAMILY. Elquan was born in Queens, New York and was raised in Roanoke, Virginia. When he was fiffteen he knew his passion was rapping and it grew immensely. He found more focuse on his career choice since he was nineteen. Finally relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada and beginning his life as hip-hop artist Elquan. This track shows the growth of responsibility and how life changes for you to get better. Elquan expressed the struggle of hustling, then comes the time a child is on the way, and marriage is on his mind. Positive moves for a better life from what Elquan was growing up on the streets. FAMILY is a single off his upcoming EP, Faraway. Elquan considers his sound to be considered as good time music.
[VIRGINIA] Sometimes with the path of relationships you go all in and become hopeful you found someone special, then it leads to something that just feels absolutely hopeless. Emcee Lew Sid is able to portray it on his first official single off his upcoming project in 2016, with AIN’T GONNA WORK IT OUT. The track samples Mayer Hawthorne’s “Just Aint Gonna Work Out“, and Howard Coolin was able to give that hip-hop style with some R&B. Lew Sid in his visual take on AIN’T GONNA WORK OUT you see two scenarios of what he dealt with in awkward relationship moments. You just have to watch the video for yourself to see what Lew Sid went through. The video was directed by Monte Battle and Andre Jones. The creative visual features Jasmine Garcia, Ladarrious Prim, and Kat. I thought the video was pretty funny. My favorite part is the DJ’s reaction to his first girl leaving him. What’s your favorite part of Lew Sid’s music video AIN’T GONNA WORK OUT?
This video comes our way from Northern Virginia, courtesy of Danny Ocean and DanVHefner. Right from jump, I was pulled in by the beat.; a rework of a popular A$AP Rocky joint will always catch some listeners. Anyways, the rework is on point, and their verses do the track some justice . I thought Danny Ocean’s opening verse was a bit catchier, but preferred some of the wordplay of Hefner’s. Either way, both rappers are solid and show some real potential to make some real waves in the industry if they keep pushing.
The music video is put together and edited by Inhail Media, and is professional through and through. Inhail did a good job of turning a fairly simple video concept into something cinematic and enticing. I think the editing does a lot to put the entire project on another level. Danny Ocean and DanVHefner do a lot to show that the new-school trill movement isn’t location based and still kicking. I’d really like to see what they can do over some original production, either together or individually. Good looks to the both of them, keep pushing. Be sure to follow them on Twitter and all that noise.
